**Background**

Now that the Dog Packs have launched, the marketing team will double-down on distributing. We will sniff out the most legit Open Source Projects.

**Objectives**

**Propose:**

- Community submits fave Open Source projects to invite for community demo day
- Community Submits fave Open Source contributors (individuals)
- Awards Ceremony, Best in Dog Show - The Golden Bone (DAOs/MCon equivalent :Golden Keyboard)

**Goals**

Competition and excitement around open source generated across the dog packs
Idea: The dog packs compete with each another to sinff out the coolest, most inspiring open source projects / open source contributors.
Leverage Twitter with a open source centric hashtag to amplify as well (the winner is not dependent on most twitter shares/likes etc)

# Project Launch

## Step 1 - Dates

**Oct 28 8pm EST** Pack leaders tally votes on in-pack submissions. 1 winner submitted from each pack to Tally team

**Oct 29 community call + overall winner voted on live, and announced**

## Step 2 - Agenda

Agenda for THREE SESSIONS

**Launch copy/ explanation of hunt:**

We challenge you to sniff out the most scintillating open source project or contributor you can get your paws on.

The open source space is vast. Go deep into the forest, sniff around, and work out what projects or human contributors get you panting for more.

Once you've worked out your favorite open source project/contributor to share with your dog pack, you will have the chance to put paw to keyboard and vote for the dopest one. The open source sniff with the highest number of upvotes wins. That sniff then goes forward to be voted on for the **Overall Open Source Winner**, to be determined on the commmunity call next Friday.

Remember to keep sharing along the hunting journey with the hashtag #opensourcesniff

To sniff, you may wanna riff on open source stuff going down on the ground in Lisbon @LisC0n + EthLisbon. Ultimately, the hunting path is yours. Follow your nose.

## Oct 22 - Open Source Project Sniff

dog pack members share in channel + work out which open source project/contributor gets upvoted the most.

## Oct 28 - Dog pack members Submit their project sniffs

Dog pack leaders discern which idea got most upvotes.
1 winner from each dog pack gets submitted.
Dog pack leaders submit to internal team **by 8pm EST on the 28th.**

## Oct 29 - Award Announcement

Ultimate winner of Hunt #1 Golden Bone announced on the community call on the 29th.
Everyone in the community call casts their votes LIVE for their favorite submission.
Matt announces winner.

## Step 3 - Repeat Weekly Hunt with new theme (TBD)
Feedback on how frothy the community were around Open Source related hunt.
Take inventory on which Integration Partners would be most excited for a Hunt collab.
Take into account an ETH-PDX related hunt for Portland relevancy.
