--- tags: Projects --- # Crossmint DevRel - Submitted @sydneylai # 💁‍♀️ Summary Crossmint wants to increase the volume of developer adoption. ### Pain Crossmint has two pain-points in regards to DevRel: A. What is Crossmint's Developer Journey? B. What is Crossmint's broken developer funnel look like? ### Context This exercise showcases 3 solutions to improve on existing workflow. These suggestions is designed to not require a significant overhall but to improve on existing data. # 👩‍🎤 Users User story format: As a `user persona`, I want `goal` so that `some reason`. **User 1: Venture-backed company** "As a company, we are launching an NFT project, I need a suite of tools that will allow our team to do this in a compliant and manage this NFT scope from start to finish. **User 2: Solo NFT Developer** "I am building an NFT project, and I need a tool that will allow me to do that seamlessly and easy " # 👩‍💻 Implementation ## Features 1. Clear Developer Journey Flow 2. Client Case Studies 3. SDK Template Library ### Specs 1. Reorganize and prioritize SDK guides 2. Change CTA button ### Mocks / Design Crossmint's current developer journey and drop-off: ![](https://i.imgur.com/6tSHYCK.png) **Entice** - Of the avg 270K monthly visitors; ~80% of traffic is Outbound and ~20% is Inbound **Enter** - 74% of users navigate the Crossmint site via a mobile experience **Engage** - The main way for visitors to engage is through the Developer Console and the Developer Docs **Exit** - Developers bounce due to an unclear developer journey and list of SDK documentations **Extend** - A way to reengage developers is providing a clear path with searchable case studies and templates to contextualize a solution for the developers' needs. **1. Developer Journey** ![](https://i.imgur.com/wPn2iwQ.jpg) As 74% of Crossmint's traffic comes from mobile, the CTA will lead the developer to a questionaire of the developer's NFT project needs, and then lead them to a suggested get started SDKs and NFT builder template Implementation: an Embeded Typeform has a decision tree that provides results based on user-journey **2. Client Case study** ![](https://i.imgur.com/fXI2Oqa.png) 18% of Crossmint's traffic comes from Magic Eden Provide a Magic Eden customer case study to help the visiting developer *contextualize* how the Crossmint tool is being used. **3. NFT Get Started Templates** ![](https://i.imgur.com/QubFMId.jpg) *(cc: Shopify's Get Started Templates)* Taking a note from Shopify's playbook, by providing themed templates will provide the developers a clear journey to get started. This will limited a drop-off after the sign-up phase. Onboarding Shopify's existing clients by providing a [Crossmint x Shopify integration solution](https://www.shopify.com/payment-gateways/united-states) is a way for funnel adoption # 🙆‍♀️ Release Criteria ### Metrics List all metrics you're tracking and the desired value/trend for each metric ### Criteria - [ ] **Functionality** - [ ] provide developer with needed SDK by filtering out of list of SDKs - [ ] **Usability** - [ ] % of completion from journey start to sign-up - [ ] **Performance** - [ ] reduce bounce rate to 45% - [ ] increase organic search rate to 30% ### Test plan *After prioritization of existing developer content:* 1. Will test V1 DevRel through Crossmint's existing Discord users 2. Will request $2K ad budget to test V2 DevlRel for net-new devs 3. V3 will be published on Crossmint site and new user journey / developer funnel will be implemented # 🙅‍♀️ Out of Scope SDK Template Library will go into production after implementing the developer user flow and customer case studies # 🤦‍♀️ Risks List any risks and potential mitigation # 🤷‍♀️ Open Questions - Who on the Crossmint team is behind UX research? - Any tools used for website analytics or user journeys?
