# User research questions

Hello, thank you so much for your time today. Our idea for an app is called Paint Box. An online community where people can speak with one another in real time messages, share art that they love or that they've created themselves and have a place to speak freely about their feelings and experiences. It's a place for everyone to feel safe and welcome.

There will be a daily word prompt that will interactively bring people closer on creating something together.

1. Do you feel that it's beneficial for a secure community online where people can share their feelings and express themselves creatively?

2. Would you be interested in having a feature where you can type in a piece of art or artist and keep it on your profile and share it with others if you like?

2. When you need to talk to someone, do you reach out to friends and family about it? If they weren't available, would you like to be a part of a group of people that can message each other in real time?

3. Do you feel that art would bring people together and allow them to express their feelings and thoughts with each other? Art can be anything from music, movies, fashion, baking, stories and dancing.

4. How do you feel about uploading pieces of art that you created and sharing it with others?

5. How do you usually express yourself creatively? Or what makes you feel better when you're having a bad day?

6. We're thinking of a feature where users are given a daily word and they can create something with this prompt and upload it whenever they wish, but on the same day if possible so they can share it with others

7. If you aren't comfortable sharing art work or something you created online, would a Share or Don't Share button make you feel more at ease and give you control over what is seen by others?

8. Have you experienced thread messages before on social media platforms like Discord, Slack, Reddit? What do you think of them?

9. What do you think of an introductory chat bot that would pop up and ask some questions to you, to direct you to people with similar interests?

10. Would you like to create art digitally on this app? Have you ever tried this before? What did you like about it? What didn't you like?

11. Do you use your mobile phone or laptop/desktop more or equally? Would you use an app like Paint Box on your phone, laptop/desktop or both?
