# My NEAR SIGHTED EXPERIENCE[IghomariaProsper#8957] The time spent so far at NEAR SIGHTED has been both rewarding and fulfilling, thanks to Ben and the entire team. In this piece,i will write about my experience so far in the following context • What i have learned about NEAR? • What i have learned about the community? • Some of the common issues, points of confusion, etc. people are facing? • If i had unlimited funds, how would i try to solve these issues? **What i have learned about NEAR?** I have been using and investing in the blockchain space since late 2016 but my experience with NEAR is very different. One thing i have learnt about NEAR is that > “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication “. NEAR was well thought out before been built, I remember the early days where NEAR founders were inviting various Blockchain developers to “[whiteboard sessions](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AaAvt1mBkE&list=PL9tzQn_TEuFWweVbfTbaedFdwVrvaYPq4)”, I knew that the builders were up to something big. The economic and engineering design match, how do we make NEAR a blockchain, developers can easily build with ,that offers the best rewards(contract rewards) and offers a seamless user experience almost like that of web2. ### What i have learned about the community? ***Friendliness* :** The community is very welcoming and open to all, anyone with the right skill set can contribute to any endeavor on the space ***Transparency*:** Everything ranging from proposition, execution, funding etc is been reported on the community forum. Anyone from within the community is welcome to comment and scrutinize any activity provided it’s constructive. ***Efficiency*:** The community is structured into sub-communities(a small community within the whole community) called Guilds. Guilds can be likened to departments in an organization, they work on different stuffs all for the collective interest of the community ### Some of the common issues, points of confusion, etc. people are facing? Like someone rightly said : “It’s not the product or technology that ultimately wins but that which gets the most adoption” Some common issue people face includes ⁃ ***Information overload*** By this i mean, there is so much to digest about NEAR especially if you are a new user that you are confused about where to begin from. There is so much information in the NEAR forum, the NEAR website that one gets overwhelmed. Though efforts like [NEAR WEEK](https://nearweek.com/), [AWESOMENEAR](https://awesomenear.com/) are helping curate news and available dapps in the NEAR space, there is still much left to be done. ⁃ ***Inadequate content*** There is so much information in the NEAR space but a simple Google or YouTube search around most topics around NEAR comes with very low results, sometimes people struggle to get the right content for their needs ### If i had unlimited funds, how would i try to solve these issues? If I had unlimited funds, this is how i intend to solve these issues ***Education( virtual and physical hubs)*** There is very low content around developing products on NEAR on the internet, though we already have efforts like [NEAR LEARN CLUB](https://learnnear.club/), [NEAR UNIVERSITY](https://www.near.university/) but they is still much to be done. People should be incentivized to create quality content around any topic of interest in the NEAR ecosystem Another thing that I will do is to set up a physical location as well as an online hub that educates people on a cohort basis around NEAR development, a good example of a project already executing this is the [web3 bridge](https://www.web3bridge.com/) in Nigeria. ***Developer support*** I will establish a ***24/7*** developer support, anyone can call in from anywhere anytime and speak with an expert when they need any help. ***Incentivized support*** Tip or reward community members who answer the questions of people in various groups like discord ,telegram etc(We already have a [NEAR tip bot](https://tips.nearspace.info/#/dashboard)) The NEAR WEEK is a [crowdsourced newsletter](https://medium.com/nearweek/first-step-in-the-nearweek-dao-journey-2b107acc323e) around various happenings in the space, users are incentivized to submit latest happenings in the space,so also we can do same around development in NEAR. NEAR is here to stay and i desire to contribute my quota
