# GBIF.org Content Translation workflow

### Tools
1. Crowdin, opened in GBIF.org project
2. Contentful, logged in with credentials
3. A markdown editor

### Tasks
1. Convert the source of translation text to markdown.
> The final version will be committed as markdown in github, thus version controlled.
2. Edit and format the text in markdown, as well as review the translated text.
> In Contentful, if the page contains image blocks, it needs to work with GBIFS to include an iframe in translated version.
3. Open the GBIF.org page in English.
4. If there is substandard translation other than the content, look for the entry in Crowdin and fix it.

- Translation of content will be available when GBIFS hit "publish" in contentful.
- Translation of interface will be available during on the average twice-a-week update schedule.

# GBIF.org 內容翻譯工作流程

### 使用軟體
1. Markdown 語法編輯器（可用 HackMD）
2. Contentful 後台內容管理，帳密請見 TaiBIF credentials
3. Crowdin 部分內容翻譯須由此修改 (GBIF project)

### 流程
1. 將翻譯完的文章內容貼到 HackMD (或其他編輯器）轉換成 Markdown 語法並修改內容及格式。
2. 同步到 github上 (most-TaiBIF/translated-web-contents)。
3. 登入 Contentful GBIF.org 的內容管理介面。
4. 依據該文章內容在 GBIF.org 網站上的分類或關鍵字找到在 Contentful 的文章位置，進入文章並將語言換成繁體中文。
5. 介面會將文章分段，同時有英文編輯內容及繁體中文編輯內容，把已轉成 Markdown 的內容對照英文段落貼到相應位置，系統會即時儲存任何變更。
6. 翻譯內容完成到一定程度，GBIF秘書處會將其發布到正式系統上。
7. 某些網頁固定文字不會出現在 Contentful 上，需要到 Crowdin 去翻譯，因此在編輯 Contentful 時亦需對照官網內容是否都有出現在 Contentful 上。
