Since my knowledge has grown more than before, I noticed that I actually don't need some tools that I had used in the past for flashing custom ROM this time, it is kind of surplus I just find out... Anyway, here is my Walkthrough... again. ## Ref [Flash LineageOS 18 to my Xperia Z3](/@cimeesia/HJmGUCJyc) ## All I need - [Xperia Z3 driver](https://developer.sony.com/file/download/xperia-z3-driver) - Official driver. - [XperiFirm](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-v5-6-5.2834142/) - Only needed for the 1st time. Though this is not necessory tool this time, but it is still an important tool. - [Android Debug Bridge](https://developer.android.com/studio/command-line/adb) - For many things, both sideload and fastboot. - [LineageOS 18.1 (Nightly) and Recovery for Xperia Z3](https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/z3/) - AOSP Version: 11 - [Magisk](https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk) - Version: 27 ### Those I don't need this time - ~~[MindTheGapps](https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps)~~ - I don't need Google's product nowadays. - ~~[Flashtool](http://www.flashtool.net/index.php)~~ - Surplus thing. ## Key Combinations [Official Guide](https://developer.sony.com/open-source/aosp-on-xperia-open-devices/get-started/flash-tool/useful-key-combinations/) - Recovery Mode - > the device must be turned off and you must hold the key Volume down while you press the Power key. - Fastboot - > make sure your phone is turned off and press and hold the Fastboot key Volume up* when you connect your phone to the computer. ## ~~Walkthrough~~ Troubleshooting Basically, all the progresses are the same as the guide on LineageOS's Wiki. I'm only going to note something I learnt this time. ### Troubleshooting 1: Device Driver Last time, I installed the driver with a very weird method somehow... This time, I found [this guide](https://xperiausbdriver.com/install-xperia-drivers-manually) that is teaching people how to install Xperia's driver, NORMALLY. The only different part with the article is, I right-click at my phone, instead of right-click at computer. ### Troubleshooting 2: Removing GApps In few years ago, I was a kind of people who cannot live without Google's product. But now I don't need it. Actually, I'm trying to avoid it, intentionally, because I trust Google less and less nowadays. When I finished my flashing LineageOS into my Xperia Z3, booted it into system, I found out that the GApps I had installed long time ago are still exist in the system. So I searched the removing method a bit, and found [this guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/xl8jve/how_to_remove_mindthegapps/). > wiping the system partition ONLY
