HackMDWhat you should notice when upgrading VitualBox
Upgrade
Go to https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads to download latest version.
Make sure that you download both
- VirtualBox Platform Packages
- VirtualBox Extension Pack
Make sure that both of these version should be same!
You can check your VirtualBox version from here.
You can check your currently installed extension package with Extension Pack Manager.
After updgrading both one, don't forget to install the same version's Guest Addtions CD image in your virtual machine.
If you install above three package with different version,
you may ecounter usb devices not working.
Problems with previously created VM
If you cannot open it, try to disable 3D acceleration.
You can enable it after installing correspondant Guest Addtions CD image.
