Startups are faced with many emerging metaverse choices, including centralized and decentralized metaverses. What are the costs, pros, and cons of the available and emerging choices? What is the community focus of each? What are the experiences like for users? How does each metaverse allow startups to build their own NFTs and avatars? Under what conditions should a startup seek to build their own new metaverse platform rather than build on an existing one? Hackathon teams are asked to create a recommendation and education tool that can guide startups on their metaverse journeys based on the startups’ goals, target communities, and resources. The tool can point to existing metaverses, metaverse resources, and metaverse communities. --- ### Stretch goals - The Center for creators would like the ability to create NFTs and generate avatars on the XRP Ledger. -- XRP doesn't currently support NFTs - [current proposal](https://xrpl.org/non-fungible-tokens.html) - One of our objectives is to evolve community engagement and incorporate use of: -- NFTs - supported by Spatial, Decentraland, and The Sandbox -- Avatars - Supported by All -- Tipping - Supported in Decentraland, Possibly the Sandbox -- a faucet - Need clarification -- and the utilization of the CFC token - to use the token the issuer would have to approve every new account.
