#### *For ESIIL Cyberinfrastructure documentation
# **Who we are**
### Environmental Data Science Innovation and Inclusion Lab (ESIIL) is a biology-computer science synthesis center funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
### ESIIL is hosted by the University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) and in partnership with the University of Arizona, and tribal colleges and universities (TCUs) in Colorado and South Dakota. ESIIL is partnered with NSF CyVerse for the data management and orchestration of backend cyberinfrastructure services for access and use of scalable compute through the NSF ACCESS program to High Perforance Computers (HPC) and commercial cloud (e.g., AWS).
### The Collaborative and Scalable Environment (CASE) supports ESIIL open science and data synthesis with ImgSPEC front-end user interface that augments Iterative Development Environments from Python (e.g. Jupyter) and R (e.g., RStudio) with streamlined access to major data providors in the biological sciences.
### CASE provides a flexible workspace and seamless data access that aims to deliver user-specifc data cubes through community-driven, open source software specifically designed to reduce time spent data wrangling and munging.
