# Aura Phase 2 Week 2 Meeting Wed 2021-08-04

- Where are we at, what do we need first and foremost

### Philip

- BrightID needs to be more accurate.
- "We needed this yesterday"
- We don't have to have the softer stuff figured out in the beginning

### Adam

- Right now we have two colors, helpfulness and accuracy
- Heirarchy of needs stands up here
- For the user, it should "feel" like you are using the "real thing" until the needs are self actualized
- Validating the person exists only once in the system.
- Who you say you are is meaningless
- We want to know that you have 1 (one) single, unique profile
- Currently people can sybil attack with multi devices, or emulators
- Currently we are only protecting against the most obvious attacks.
- Sybil attack: split your personality between 10 different realities

#### Hive Mind Betting Scenario
- You bet on cousin Fred
- Betting early means your bet is growing (compounding?) over time.
- Your stake grows "automatically"
- When the "heavy hitters" come through later, and they put their bets on top of yours
- Because you were the initial money staker, the later money flows to the early money

#### Seed Investors Metaphor
- First money in is weighted heavier

#### Scores Degrading over time
- your energy "radiates out" and "away" from you
- you must require constant action to keep your tokens

- Validate identity and account connection

## Adam Idea
- you have 10 points, you must choose wisely
- divide amongst the buckets, acting carefully

## My Questions
- how do we want to approach points?
- how often should points be "refreshed"
- what are the parameters of the points system?
- Rohek and Paula problem, how does Aura help with this
- What is the flow within Aura, if trying to identify this web of users

## Dev questions
- how do we calculate over time
- how do we calculate "how good they are"
- How do we check their status on BID side

## testing
- need a label to label a node as a test node
- there is a debug brightid app, but its not the real thing
- depending on the nature of the tests, we can use the test network, or use the real network and have some accounts are known test accounts

## brightid stars
- can go into Aura and use the functionality
- have the advantage of connecting to a lot of people, and being able to label and pass judgement on them
- not necessarily getting preffered status
- but will earn preffered status by being active players of the game
- a constellation of stars is necessary for Aura to work
- The Stars are likely the people that people will be betting on the heaviest
