# [RFP] Cookie Jar Research Raid
## What Is This?
The **Cookie Jar Research Raid** is a **6-week onchain adventure** for researchers, builders, sensemakers, and strategists to explore the emerging territory of **capital coordination in web3**.

This pilot is being prototyped and delivered by:
- [**Cauê Marcell Tomaz (Coi)**](https://www.x.com/growecosystems) — Product lead at Greenpill Dev Guild, creator of the research lore, protocol flow, and explorer frameworks.
- [**Bertrand Juglas (bertux0x)**](https://x.com/bjuglas) — Integration engineer with 24 years in open source and systems infrastructure. Leading Cookie Jar deployment across testnets.
## What’s Live
We’ve built a live, minimal mechanism to fund a small cohort of **Allo Explorers**. This is our pilot. No overengineering. Just:
- Lore-inspired roles
- Transparent tracking
- ETH distribution for real work
The goal is simple: fund meaningful coordination research in a fun, modular, and repeatable format.

### The Road Ahead
```Choose your track. Claim your tools. Begin your quest.```
[](https://postimg.cc/crjNkxgr)
``` This is not a grant — it’s a narrative container, a collective memory machine, and a chance to shape the Allo intelligence pillar from within. ```
- Each explorer receives **0.08 ETH/week** from the Cookie Jar
- The Raid lasts **6 weeks**
- To claim your weekly reward, you must submit a **Research Note**
- At the end, your journey will be recorded in the **Raid Chronicle**
**Explorers** will also need to:
1. Choose a **Meta-Item**
> Allo Explorers begin their journey with a single item.
> Choose wisely!
>
Each Explorer selects **one Meta-Item** at the beginning of the Raid. These are designed to help you navigate uncertainty, recover from roadblocks, or unlock additional support.
[](https://postimg.cc/nCVsd7fR)
a. **Call the Wizard** - Schedule a session with a domain expert in the Allo ecosystem
b. **Time Capsule** - Delay one Cookie Note claim by up to 7 days (grace buffer)
c. **Potion of Clarity** - Request a scope reset or midpoint review if you're stuck
> You can only use your item once.
> When you do, include it in your Cookie Note and it will be recorded in the **Raid Chronicle**.
2. Tag their research quest with one of the top 3 research tracks and optionally pursue a **Side Quest** to enrich the Chronicle
[](https://postimg.cc/xJYqdLZM)
When you submit your proposal, select **one of the three community-prioritized tracks** that your work aligns with. These tracks were chosen through open voting on Slido and represent the most urgent opportunities for Allo research this season.
**a. Market Research**
_Ecosystem maps, user archetypes, adoption pathways._
- Where are Allo’s tools most needed?
- Which ecosystems (ReFi, local DAOs, IRL collectives) show readiness for these primitives?
- Who are our users — and what do they really care about?
>**Side Quest: Interview 2 potential users and document their needs and frictions. Present your findings visually.**
---
**b. Strategy & Growth**
_Expansion tactics, activation levers, coordination layers._
- What does it mean to **scale a capital allocation** layer?
- **What metrics** actually matter?
- How can we **drive adoption** through **emergent value**, not noise?
> **Side Quest: Draft a minimal “go-to-market” playbook for a mechanism. Include a loop, a lever, and a constraint.**
**c. Product Research**
_UX pathways, contributor onboarding, design systems._
- How can Allo tools become easier to use, not just more powerful?
- What gets in the way of participation today?
- Where are the most critical UX and coordination gaps?
>**Side Quest: Shadow a real round or contributor group. Document their decision moments and drop-off points.**
```Each track is open-ended. Your proposal should define a clear scope, your method, and what you intend to learn or build.```
---
# Alchemist Guide – Role, Intentions & Rituals
## Who Are the Alchemists?
Alchemists are chosen stewards of sensemaking. Uniquely positioned to metabolize complexity, weave insights, and nurture coherence across the raid. They are not assigned to specific prompts, but rather orbit the entire ecosystem of research, ensuring threads are connected and meaning is harvested.
They are pattern recognizers, sense weavers, and narrative stewards.
Think: research leads, facilitators, strategic thinkers, and ecosystem connectors.
---
## Role & Responsibilities
Alchemists operate **horizontally** across all active research. Their core functions include:
### 1. **Harvesting Meaning**
- Actively read and synthesize Explorers’ forum threads
- Highlight high-signal insights, surprising connections, or emerging themes
- Identify potential areas of overlap, contradiction, or synergy between prompts
### 2. **Evolving the Raid**
- Propose prompt evolutions using **Prompt Fragments**
- Encourage new threads or shape phase-2 directions from current explorations
- Drop Signal Beacons to broadcast valuable insights across the network
### 3. **Offering Support**
- Drop into Explorer threads to offer encouragement or provoke reflection
- Suggest resources, collaborators, or connections
- Answer clarifying questions or surface blind spots
### 4. **Co-Curating the Lore**
- Help maintain the narrative arc of the raid: what are we learning together?
- Contribute to shared documentation, summaries, or potential public outputs
---
## Meta Items for Alchemists
Each Alchemist receives **one of each** of the following Meta Items:
- **Party** → Create a collaborative “salon” or breakout discussion across threads
- **Signal Beacon** → Broadcast a key finding or pattern to the broader community
- **Prompt Fragment** → Suggest an evolution or fork of an existing prompt
- **Domain Mentorship** → Request high-context guidance from domain experts (e.g. Kevin Owocki)
These are tools, not obligations. They’re invitations to influence the rhythm and depth of the raid.
---
## How to Apply
To apply for the role of Alchemist, post a reply in the **Call to Adventure** thread with:
- Your background and relevant experiences
- Why you want to serve as an Alchemist
- What kinds of research, patterns, or questions you’re drawn to
- How you’ve connected dots or synthesized ideas in past projects
- How much time you expect to contribute weekly (4–6 hrs expected)
- Any feedback or vision you’d like to contribute to the Raid structure
- Optional: One or more Meta Items you’re especially excited to use
You do not need to choose a prompt. You will work across many.
---
## Working Rhythms & Rituals
### Weekly Rhythms
- **Alchemist Circle**: Join a private check-in thread or async round-up each week to surface patterns and coordinate with other Alchemists
- **Explorer Support**: Browse prompt threads, respond to at least 2–3 per week
- **Forum Harvests**: Help update weekly synthesis posts or lore boards
### Meta Item Usage
- Use your **Party** to host group sensemaking (a synthesis post, thread, or live call)
- Drop a **Signal Beacon** if you want to bring community's attention
- Submit **Prompt Fragments** to evolve the research library
- Request **Domain Mentorship** when you or others hit a conceptual wall
---
## Your Impact
Alchemists are measured by:
- **Coherence**: How well did they help the raid learn together?
- **Signal**: What new directions, ideas, or synthesis emerged from their input?
- **Support**: How well did they amplify others' research or help unstick complexity?
- **Stewardship**: Did they maintain rhythm, care, and pattern integrity in the raid?
Your work may directly influence Allo Capital’s publication pipeline or seed new research tracks.
---
## Why This Matters
This role is designed to model regenerative intelligence: not just producing answers, but cultivating a healthy, fertile system for others to contribute, learn, and evolve.
Alchemists hold the lantern in the maze — not to show the path, but to light it as others walk forward.
---
Let me know when you’re ready and I’ll begin the 2-part **Explorer Guide** in the same format.
