The *primary* reason for roles is **not** meant to label. Roles are used to limit the amount of categories and channels members can see in order prevent confusion and input overload. ### Owner #### Description - Non-labeled role. - Core server-team member. - Legally owns the Discord server (only) and has the highest permissions. Can delete the server and modify every aspect within. #### Permissions - Discord - full control - Dework - DAO administrator --- ### Admin (Administrator) #### Description - Core server-team member. - Function is to maintain the server integrations, bots, category & channels and assigns permissions as needed with the support of a core team of server members; mainly the owner, moderators and other admins. #### Permissions - Discord - assigned by Owner - full control, less delete server - Dework - DAO administrator --- ### Mod (Moderator) #### Description - Core server-team member. - Carries out various functions as tasked via permissions and agreements. Supports the admin and owner in moderating daily server activity. #### Permissions - Discord - assigned by Owner and Admin - cannot remove channels, categories, ban members - can create channels, timeout members - typically has access to all channels - Dework - **project manager** for all spaces less *Treasury*, *Catalyst GPS*, and any *private* spaces --- ### Representative #### Description - Identifies the server member as a Catalyst Circle representative or part of the distributed-representative-role team. #### Permissions - Discord - **Member** + mention @roles, manage events, deafen speakers, move members - Dework - none --- ### Member #### Description - A person who has joined the Catalyst United Server #### Permissions - Discord - assigned after agreeing to the server rules - access is limited to public categories and channels - read history, create messages, create messages in thread - Dework - required to **create task** for *Shared Ideas* space --- ### Learner #### Desciption - A person who is interested in current and future education provided by the server-team and server community (where and when applicable). #### Permissions - Discord - self-assigned in the **role-selection** channel - required to view **Dework Playground** category and channels - Dework - required to **access and use** *Dework Playground* --- ### Español #### Description - Spanish-speaking server member that provide valuable insight into server requirements and processes. #### Permissions - Discord - self-assigned in the **role-selection** channel - required to view **Españaol** categry and channels - Dework - none --- ### Catalyst GPS #### Description - Member of the Catalyst GPS server community. - Part of the funded Catalyst GPS proposal. #### Permissions - Discord - self-assigned in the **role-selection** channel - required to view **Catalyst GPS** category and channels - Dework - required to **create task** to *Catalayst GPS* space --- ### GPS Core #### Description - Core contributors for Catalyst GPS. - Part of the funded Catalyst GPS proposal. #### Permissions - Discord - assigned by *Catalyst GPS* team - required to view **discussion-GPS-core** channel - Dework - **project manager** for *Catalyst GPS* space --- ### Treasury Community #### Description - Members interested or currently participating in the Treasury Community. - Part of the funded Treasury proposal. #### Permissions - Discord - self-assigned in the **role-selection** channel - required to view all channels in **Treasury** category less **discussion-treasury** which is viewable by the **Member** role - Dework - one of the required roles to **create task** in *Treasury* space --- ### Trustee Treasury #### Descitpion - One of the few persons that hold the Treasury keys. - Part of the funded Treasury proposal. #### Permissions - Discord - assigned by *Treasury Admin Group* - no special permissions - Dework - one of the required roles to **create task** in *Treasury* space --- ### Treasury Admin Group (TAG) #### Description - Selected group of individuals that maintain and administer the treasury. - Part of the funded Treasury proposal. #### Permissions - Discord - assigned by the *Treasury* team **OR** voted in by the community - Dework - **project manager** for *Treasury* space --- ### Proposal Assessor (PA) #### Description - Formerly CA (Community Advisor) WG. - Identifies the server member as a Proposal Assessor or as being interested in the broader Cardano Catalyst role. #### Permissions - Discord - required to view **PA Working Group** category and channels - Dework - required to **create task** in *Proposal Assessor WG* space --- ### Challenge Team #### Description - Identifies the server member as a Challenge Team member or as being interested in the broader Cardano Catalyst role. #### Permissions - Discord - required to view **Challenge Team WG** category and channels - Dework - required to **create task** in *Challenge Team WG* space --- ### Veteran PA #### Description - Formerly vCA (Veteran Community Advisor) WG. - Identifies the server memebr as a Veteran Proposal Assessor or as being interested in the broader Cardano Catalyst role. #### Permissions - Discord - required to view **VPA Working Group** category and channels - Dework - required to **create task** in *Veteran PA WG* space --- ### Operations #### Description - Identifies the server memeber as interested or a part of the core operations teams for the server. #### Permissions - Discord - required to view **Operations WG** category and channels - Dework - required to **create task** in *Operations WG* space --- ### Dework #### Description - A bot that is linked directly to Dework integration within the Catalyst United server. - Only the associated bot should be assigned this role. #### Permissions - Discord - bot - permissions tied to *@Dework#9886* - required for Dework/Discord integration - integrates with all *dework* prefixed channels - Dework - none --- ### Easy Poll #### Descriptions - A poll bot that is useful in generating anonymous and timed polls. #### Permissions - Discord - bot - required for polls - integrates with **polls** channel - Dework - none --- ### MEE6 #### Description - A general purpose bot that is responsible for many integrations within the Catalyst United server. - Only the associated bot should be assigned this role. #### Permissions - Discord - bot - permissions tied to *YUU6@MEE6#4876* - required for welcome message, role-reaction and followed Youtube channel posting announcements - integrates with *welcome*, *video-drops* and *role-selection* channels - Dework - none --- ### Apollo #### Description - An event planning bot that generates recurring events (if necessary) reducing the overhead cost to the core server-team. - This function is not a default feature of Discord communuities. #### Permissions - Discord - bot - permissions tied to *@Apollo#5552* - required to create repeating events - integrates with all *events* prefixed channels - Dework - none ### Server Booster #### Description - Identifies the server member as a person who has boosted the server. - This is an automatic role provided and created by the Discord development team. #### Permissions - Discord - none - Dework - none ---
