Windstream, aka Windstream Holdings, Inc. and Windstream Communications, is one of the largest providers of phone, internet, and email services to rural communities in the United States.
New subscribers who have created a Windstream username receive a free email address which is their Windstream username followed by @windstream.net.
For example, if your username is jane.doe, your email address will be jane.doe@windstreamnet.
Customers who use prior legacy email addresses before transitioning to Windstream can log in with these older email addresses (alltel.net, ctc.net, valornet.com, etc.).
## How can I sign into my Windstream email account?
Use a web browser or a mobile application to access your Windstream email.
* To sign in, go to https://www.windstreamonline.com/pol/WinLogin.action, which is the sign-in page for windstream.net. Additionally, you can visit the Windstream site and select the Sign In option at the very top of the page.
* You might need to update your version of Internet Explorer if you’re experiencing difficulties logging into the new Windstream.net email. Click here to read more.
* Your first Windstream email account’s username and password should have been selected when your modem was being installed.
* You will then see the phrase “Please use your Windstream Online information” on the Windstream login screen.
* Enter your email address or login for Windstream. Unless you have already done so If you don’t have a username yet, click the “Register for access here” link and follow the steps on the screen.
* Enter your password here.
* To sign into your account, click the Sign In button right now. Once hooked in, you can watch TV online, pay bills, and access your email inbox.
### Additional Emails from Windstream
You can create up to five free email addresses as a Windstream customer. You can manage your account using your primary username and email address, which also offers full administrative access to all account features. Other household members can have their own usernames and email addresses created by the principal account holder. Each email address has an own inbox.
Click the “Register for access here” link above the form on the Sign In page if you haven’t already registered your own administrative Windstream username. Observe the directions on the following page.
You can start adding other usernames with their unique emails and mailboxes as soon as your administrative Windstream account is created.
**To add a user, adhere to these guidelines:**
* Visit windstream.net
* Select My Account & Support from the drop-down option.
* the Manage My Account link
* On the Online Account Options box, enter your email address and password, then click Login.
* After logging in, click the link. Change email accounts, user names, and passwords
* You will find a row for Add Email Address on the User Name, Password, & Email Manager screen.
* The New User Name and New Password boxes should be filled out. The email account will be added after you click Add.
#### How Can I Retrieve My Forgotten Windstream Username or Password?
Visit the Sign In page to reset your username or password. You can get your username back by clicking the “Forgot Username” link if you’ve lost it. The “Forgot Password” link can be used if you’ve forgotten your password. The green Sign In button is followed by both of these links.
**After selecting the link**
* fill out the User Type (choose Customer), Email Address, Account Number, and Billing Zip Code forms on the subsequent page in order to regain your username.
* To proceed, select the green Continue button and adhere to the on-screen directions.
**In order to reset your email password:**
* Complete the first and second security question answers after clicking the link. These inquiries are set up when you create an account.
**When you’ve finished answering the security questions, enter your new password:**

A new notification confirming your new password will appear on the login page after you are returned there. Logging into your account is now possible.
#### How can I get my email password back or reset it?
After 180 days, accounts that have not had any Webmail, POP, or IMAP activity shift into inactive status and are no longer available to end users. Call customer service 1(888)479–6135 at to fix this.
Note: You must have answered all of the security questions related to your account in order to retrieve your password.

* Visit www.windstream.net.
