## Project 1 - The Agency  --- ### Overview The project has been a steep learning curve for both of us. The top 5 areas of learning have been: 1. Git 2. Git 3. Git 4. Git 5. CSS, HTML, JS --- ### Work schedules 1. Meeting on discord about 3 times a week to discuss next issues 2. Different work schedules, created difficulties in the workflow in terms of PR and merging. 3. We made it work for the most part. 4. Git hub was the key to solving these issues. --- ### Here is some insight to our work The project board was a useful overview of planned issues and our progress through them.  --- ### Merge conflicts 1 :weary::weary::weary: * We came up against many merge conflicts during the project but got better at avoiding them. * The biggest and baddest of these was after we had not been able to communicate for two days due to opposite working times --- ### Merge conflicts 2 :weary::weary::weary: * This resulted in us working on the same areas of code even though we were tackling different issues on different branches * The worst moment was Mark deleting one CSS file out of two, carl deleting the OTHER CSS file! * We solved this by having a face to face meeting and deciding exactly what to include. We then put the two files together and removed redundant content --- ### Merge conflicts 3 :weary::weary::weary: * We were MUCH more focused and targeted in our issue creation after this * We suspected the small size of the project made such conflicts more likely - it was sometimes hard to avoid bumping into each other in the code! --- ### What we have learned * How to organise ourselves better as a team (still much to learn) * Much more git and github experience and knowledge needed --- ### Interesting code * The slide out accessibility menu was an interesting exercise as it was almost entirely HTML/CSS - especially to make it accessible --- ### Next steps... * More git and GitHub (MUCH more) * More accessibility * More understanding of CSS conventions * Actually DO mobile first design * Don't start on fun things that look nice and take 4 days to do --- ### A look at the site...
