# Email to Jonathan (20/4/2020)
```
- Notifying to Jonathan on our new change to AusLan
- and about us submitting old music proposal
```
Hey Jonathan,
As per one of the previous emails, we were considering changing our project goal from interactive music/audio synthesis to real-time Auslan translation. And after careful consideration, we have decided to make the transition.
However, the project charter submitted is based on the Music project, instead of the Auslan project due to time constraints.
Although the goal is now very much different, the underlying system is very similar. The basic system can be seen as such:
Input Webcam -> Pose Estimation Program -> Gesture Recognition -> Gesture to Words -> Output Text
We still have a pose estimation block estimating the joint locations of hands and upperbody as streamed from the webcam; and a gesture recognition block recognising gestures. The difference is what we are doing with the recognised gestures -- translating them to words and sentences in text and speech.
Please let us know if you would like to see our draft of new project charter.
Also please let us know if you have any questions/concerns with this change.
Kind regards,
