- Hamamatsu loaner cameras were returned this week
- Current pain points:
- multiple homebrewed solutions to get frames acquired -> save to disk
- multiple file compression sets needed to get to stream/napari
- Discussion on baseline performance standards given the many homebrewed solutions. Adam weighing in:
- Level 1
- run microscope & acquire less than the full frame rate
- Level 2
- run system at full frame rate capacity for long durations (72 hrs+)
- systems crash beyond 3 days and failure points aren't clear (hardware, software, network)
- Level 3
- flexibility of file format and online compression
- 1.5 GB/s over network is not feasible most times
- Most users are at Level 0; happy with software that is working
