- Aligned thoughts, Neural Dynamics will create job req and hire FTE(s) independently
- Contract from CZI will cover their effort (drafted in a scope of work)
- CZI can be involved in interviewing process (but probably not needed)
Branding
- CZI and Allen Institute should initially be equal partners. Allen Institute listed as partner in CZI advertising and vice versa.
- As the project grows, Allen Institute's role in the parntership may decline - exact details/timeline of this TBD
- Allen Institute would like right to attribution, advertising etc.
- Any branding plan from the CZI etc. would be great to share with Allen Institute communications group if/when available
Licensing
- Licensing is determined by institute and by project
- No anticipated issues around a fully open/permissive license, anything that CZI would like, the Allen Institute will be on board with.
Next steps
- Initiating internal process for CZI contract today (2-17-22)
- Job Reqs for research engineer going to Allen HR today (2-17-22)
- Allen legal getting to work on CRA which will incorporate language for all 3 of the above topics. Scope of work for the collaborative research will be drafted by Adam based on existing documents for this project.
