- Adam was able to hit 1.8 GiB / s to VAST S3 (2x speedup over SMB)
- Using [s5cmd](https://github.com/peak/s5cmd)
- Could probably be pushed higher with tuning workers vs. concurrency
- With a single large 5 TiB file, could benefit from smaller, sharded Zarr files
- New as of yesterday
- Does not use TLS encryption
- Adam has some combinations of chunk / shard sizes which perform much better than others when writing to filesystem
