## Knowledge About Alcohol Abuse
- Alcohol Dehydrogenase breaks down alcohol, more in men than women
- Serotonin link (Impulse control)
- Negative emotionality (neuroticism)
- Naltrexone ( Antagonist drug [Blocks Pleasure of Drug] )
- Acamprosate - Reduces cravings (Gaba Agonist [More Gaba])
- Antabuse - makes alcohol use unpleasant, buildup of acetaldehyde
### **Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome:**
Anterograde Amnesia from long-term amnesia.

* daily max = 2 drinks Woman, 3 drinks man
* weekly max = 10 Woman, 15 man
* Non drinking days
* No drinking while vehicle
* No drinking pregnant
* Shouldnt drink child
