## PERMANENT ICE RINKS (ALL YEAR LONG) * [Queen's Ice Rink (Queensway)](https://queens.london/skating): central location, average size, offers private and group lessons. Generally busy in peak hours, open till late. Sessions last 1 hour but no one really checks so you can usually stay longer. * [Alexandra Palace](https://www.alexandrapalace.com/the-ice-rink/book-now/): large rink, offers lessons, better skates for hire than most, sessions last 1.5 hs. Not as crowded, but sells out fast and has limited opening hours - from 11 until 16:30 or 17:30 depending on the day. * [Lee Valley Ice Centre](https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/ice): Olympic-sized twin pad rink, due to open soon from renovations!! * [Streatham Leisure Centre](https://active.lambeth.gov.uk/locations/streatham/): large rink, offers lessons, sessions are 1 hour, limited spaces so best to book in advance. * [Sapphire Ice & Leisure Ice (Romford)](https://www.everyoneactive.com/centre/sapphire-ice-leisure/): super highly recommended by folks! * [Guildford Ice](https://www.guildfordspectrum.co.uk/ice-skating/): great Ice Dance culture! * [Cambridge Ice Arena](https://www.better.org.uk/leisure-centre/cambridge/cambridge-ice-arena): in Cambridge, looks big as it's used for ice hockey. Haven't been but considering a day trip to check it out! Update: I've been informed by Nikita that it's smaller than Streatham 🙃 ## SEASONAL ICE RINKS (DATES VARY) * [Canary Wharf](https://icerinkcanarywharf.co.uk/): large size, open until end of February! Think this is one of the most expensive seasonal rinks, but might be less crowded than others. * [Battersea Power Station](https://glidebatterseapowerstation.co.uk/): opened this season for the first time (now closed), large size rink. Haven't skated there yet, but seemed quite busy during peak hours. * [Bar Elba](https://feverup.com/m/82202?utm_source=secretldn&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=82202_lon&utm_content=rooftop-ice-rink-london&utm_term=cta1): haven't been, rooftop ice skating, looks tiny. * [Hampton Court](https://hamptoncourtpalaceicerink.co.uk/): lovely setting with Hampton Court Palace as background, somewhat distant location unless you are in the area. Nice to go at night when the palace is lit up. * [Queen's House in Greenwich](https://www.rmg.co.uk/queens-house/attractions/queens-house-ice-rink): haven't been yet, share your thoughts below if you have! * [Somerset House](https://www.somersethouse.org.uk/whats-on/skate-somerset-house): lovely setting, central location, average size, gets very crowded and sells out for peak times. * [Tobacco Dock](https://feverup.com/m/69959?utm_content=ice-rinks-skating-london&utm_source=secretldn&utm_medium=post&utm_term=cta1&utm_campaign=69959_lon): haven't been, rooftop ice skating, looks tiny from the photographs. * [Westfield Shopping Centre (Shepherd's Bush)](https://icerinkatwestfieldlondon.co.uk/): opened this season for the first time (now closed), average size, great to go during off peak hours as it is not busy. I plan to get the season pass for next year when it opens! * [Winter Wonderland](https://hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/things-to-do/ice-skating/): central location, large size, probably my least favourite one as it can get quite crowded. ## ROLLER DISCOS (ALL YEAR LONG) * [Rollernation (Tottenham)](https://rollernation.com/): average size, does themed disco nights. * [Flipper's (Shepherd's Bush)](https://flippers.world/pages/skate-london): opened in 2022, large size, good quality skates for hire.
