As we continue our shared journey of decentralization and community building we are willing to pass the critical role of community moderation to you - the GoodDollar community.

This proposal aims to select a preliminary group of very trusted members around the world to build its own moderation team, taking over the responsibilities and accountabilities to effectively onboard, education and power new members to the GoodDollar ecosystem.

The [Scope Of Work for this Communitty Moderation](https://gooddollar.notion.site/Community-Moderation-Grant-acb0aec6e9864e48ad573477e1651d43) roles requires requires 100 hours per week in community moderation across the various community-led social media and communication channels. (e.g. if 4 people are selected, each of them would be working for our community 25 hours per week).

The candidates for the rol are then being chosen by a weighted voting where each voter may spread voting power across any number of choices.

The target numbers of candidates to be selected are 3, although in our aim to serve our main geografic/lenguage areas of GoodDollar community (Global channels (English) 2) Nigeria 3) India 4) Latino america/Spanish (all channels) 5) Vietnam 6) Indonesia).

A fourth candidate might (or not) be selected for the role, this one won´t be selected by direct votation, but by having an open discussion in a Community call, and having the consent among the top 3 selected candidates, altho his/her voted rated shall be considereded, as well as his/here spoken language as the geographic area where the candidate is.

**A Finance Track GIP will follow this current GIP-1** in order to request a budget of 41.310.000 G$s (~7.800 USD) from the [Community Multisig safe](https://gnosis-safe.fuse.io/fuse:0x5Eb5f5fE13d1D5e6440DbD5913412299Bc5B5564/balances) in order to cover the costs for the innitial 3 months. Tell us about any previous experience with community moderation: I have managed communities on Telegram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The most relevant to this application is the LBANK community management role which I occupied for about 4 months, in which time I served to start and keep conversations going during my shift, hosted AMAs, regulated chats and posts and answered questions of community members.
How did you first hear about GoodDollar?: On Medium and from a friend
Are there any community moderation functions we’ve missed and should be included? Hosting of "Ask me Anything’s (AMAs) and community calls and coordinating games in the community.
