This guide provides what you'll need to know to: <!-- - access information as a user - post information as a user - approve posts as an admin - edit information in Airtable - upload information as an admin - edit the 'About Us' page - log and suggest features --> --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ### Accessing information as a user --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> - There's no need for people to log in - They just need to click through to the country they're interested in - Page defaults to 'About country' - People can also see Things to Do in each country and Experiences --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> - Experiences are filterable by the associated tags - -- "Black" -- "queer" -- "trans" -- "disabled" -- "neurotypical" -- "wheelchair user" -- "family friendly" -- "business" --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ### Posting information as a user - 'Things to do' and 'Experiences' in each country have a link to a form where people can add their own information - These won't appear until they've been approved --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ### Approve posts as an admin --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> - click small admin link on the bottom of landing page - you will be redirected to the admin login page - submit the login information - username : admin - password : blackqueertravelguideadmin - once logged in you can then approve or delete posts by clicking approve or delete. - right now there is no warning when you delete or approve so once clicked the post is either approved or deleted permanently. --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ## Editing Laws/legislation information --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> This is done via [Airtable](https://airtable.com/tblD8M1JRgaOnp4vW/viw1QN4y6fj4wuSlM?blocks=hide) Airtable is accessible with the account created with paulaakpan@gmail.com. --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> What can be edited: - Information for each country - Heading names - Adding or removing columns You cannot: - Edit country names - Reorder countries - Remove or edit the country id (hidden field) --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ## Heroku [Heroku](https://dashboard.heroku.com/apps/tfb-bqtg) is the platform that is hosting our back end. --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> The back end stores all user posts in a postgreSQL database attached to the Heroku project. We've sent invite emails to hello@theblackqueertravelguide.com and paulaakpan@gmail.com to join as collaborators so they should have access to the project. --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> ### Changing the admin password This is done in heroku in on the *settings* page by changing the *ADMIN_PASSWORD* set in *Config vars*. 1. Best not to share any of the values found here anywhere or it might cause issues :eyes: --- <!-- .slide: data-background="#fdd7af" --> 3. Log in with your new password! --- ### Checking database storage limit We are on the free plan so it can currently hold up to 10,000 rows. 1.
