# MDS Orgbook Associations
MAP Verifiable Credentials that are going to be made discoverable need to relate to BC Business Numbers so that they are valuable to that business as proof to global verifiers.
<!-- AnonCreds issuance doesn't have this problem because the credentials are being issued directly to the wallet by a different trust mechanism (their ability to login to MineSpace), in the future we could change that trust mechanism to be "prove you are the right business". -->
## Requirements
MDS should only publish MAP Credentials that have been strongly linked to Orgbook Entities by BC Business Number.
## Relationship
Permits have permitees, the party that is authorized to carry out the actions described in the permit. Permitees are parties that can be person or organizations?
Orgbook holds BC Registration credentials for all registered business in BC (even extraprovinical companies like [Hudbay](https://orgbook.gov.bc.ca/entity/A0009658))
Each Permitee (a party that has been assigned a permitee to a given permit on a given mine), should be a real BC business, and we want to enforce and record that association such that when MAP Credentials are published, they contain the BC Business identifier (Business Number), to strongly link the data.
## Work Flows
What mechanisms exist or could be built to facility the linking of parties in MDS to Business in OrgBook.
### 1. Existing Feature
CORE has a party edit modal that allows for ministry staff to search orgbook business by name and save that
### 2. Prompt with suggestions
CORE could search OrgBook for a list of possible matches and prompt ministry staff to review and select the legal entity that is the party
### 3. Request and Approve
Minespace could be expanded to allow proponents to request this linkage.
After request there are many possible actions that may be required:
- #### 3.1: Automatic Linkage
If the party name matches the legal business name exactly, establish the association with no ministry staff interaction required
- #### 3.2: Ministry Approval
Once requested, the ministry staff would be able to view the request and the proposed OrgBook entity, after inspecting that is the orgbook entity is infact the permitee, approve the assocation.
- #### 3.3: Sole Proprietor
Sole Proprietors can actually receive a Verifiable Credential from BC Registries and present that to Minespace, which could be trusted to automatically update the MDS Permittee to be associated with BC Business in the credential.
### Particiption
- #### Major Mines Office
What burden are the major mines office and inspector are willing to do to increase the quality of the data.
Given the size the mining operations and limited number of major mines I predict this could be done manually without much effort.
- #### Proponents
Proponent benefit from the data, and should know their exact business registration bussiness ID number. What validation would be required to trust the accuracy of proponent provied data.
- #### Regional Mines Offices
### Recommendation
Associate MDS Party with Orgbook Entity is released in Production, but
