## What is the content you be updating/maintaining?
The COVID-19 Vaccine Handbook Wiki includes a number of different pages that need to be updated as new information comes in.
Pages our volunteers are currently working on are [here](https://hackmd.io/I1VU6b7eR1uhxQaLDRuGeA#Links-for-Wiki-Editing).
See a full list of pages in the Wiki [here](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/home#Table-of-contents-for-the-wiki-grouped-by-topic).
You will have access to page boards on GitHub to help you track new information that needs to be updated.
## Wiki page boards: where new info arrives
You will have their own **personal page board on GitHub** ([example here](https://github.com/scibeh/c19vaxwiki/projects/4)). You need a GitHub account to access this.
:::info
**We will track volunteer page assignments [here](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/tasklist)---this will include a link to all of the relevant page boards.**
:::
The board has three 'buckets'. The first is for **new items**: these are sent by the curators, and will automatically appear when available.
You should consider whether the item is suitable for addition to your page. If it is not, you can drag and drop it in the **ignore** bucket.
If it is suitable for inclusion, update your page accordingly. Once you have updated the item, you can drag and drop it in the **done** bucket. That way we all know what items have been added to the Wiki.
_The video below summarises the above and shows what it looks like in the GitHub page boards:_

## Updating the Wiki
These are the steps to update the Wiki. We recommend checking once a week for new information. If you are working collaboratively with someone on your page, you could split the task so you do it one week and your partner does it another week.
1. Use the page board to identify new information and see whether it needs to be updated on your assigned Wiki page (see previous section on [Wiki page boards](https://hackmd.io/@c19vaxdraft/welcome#Wiki-page-boards-where-new-info-arrives)).
2. Open your assigned page and **[pull the update from GitHub](https://hackmd.io/c/tutorials/%2Fs%2Flink-with-github#Pull-from-Github)**
3. Make changes on your page (this will not yet be live)---this may be adding a source, or writing a line or a paragraph as you see fit. **You can make as few or many updates at a time as suits your schedule, just remember to move items in the page board buckets to done, and highlight changes on the page in green using the code: `<span style="color:green">` at the start of the paragraph and `</span>` at the end.** (See also [instructions to authors](https://hackmd.io/@scibehC19vax/instructions) for tips on writing in HackMD.)
5. When you have finished, **[push the update to GitHub](https://hackmd.io/c/tutorials/%2Fs%2Flink-with-github#Push-to-GitHub)**.
6. Post in the [Twist channel](https://twist.com/a/131368/ch/442278/t/2314461) to notify the team of a page update to be reviewed.
7. The update will be checked by domain experts before it goes live.
