# CodeStepByStep Account Setup

# Introduction

CodeStepByStep is an online platform we'll use throughout the semester for coding practice. This guide will walk you through setting up your account and joining our course.

# Account Setup Process

## Step 1: Website Access

1. Navigate to the CodeStepByStep website: <https://www.codestepbystep.com/r/>

2. Click the "Login" button in the top navigation bar.

- Your username is your Bucknell ID (e.g., abc123)
- You may receive an email about account creation, but you can proceed directly with these instructions

## Step 2: Password Reset

1. On the login page, click "Forgot password"
2. Enter your Bucknell ID as your username
3. Follow the password reset instructions sent to your Bucknell email
4. Set a new password of your choice
- Make sure to use a strong password you'll remember
- Store it securely

> - You should now be able to log in to CodeStepByStep with your new password
> - Verify you can access your account dashboard

## Step 4: Course Enrollment

1. Go to the course list page: <https://www.codestepbystep.com/r/course/list>

2. In the "Add Course" section, select ``CS 205, Spring 2025` in the dropdown if you are not already auto-enrolled.

## Step 5: Verify Access

1. Navigate to the problem sets page: <https://www.codestepbystep.com/r/problemset/list>

2. Verify you can see the course problem sets

> - CS 205 should appear in your course list
> - You should have access to the problem sets

# Troubleshooting

- **No Account Creation Email**: Check your spam folder. If not found, contact your instructor
- **Password Reset Link Expired**: Simply click "Forgot password" again
