# Red Deer Casino Holds Special Dinner for Forest Fire Survivors
Reddier Resorts & Casinos recently hosted a special dinner for those who managed to survive and escape the wildfires in the Northwest Territories. The event was held at the casino's R&R restaurant last Wednesday and the purpose was to show support and consolation to more than 120 evacuees who found shelter at the hotel.
Red Deer Resort & Casino, formerly known as Central Alberta's Premier Hotel and Conference Center, has been the state's premium gambling entertainment and hospitality venue for more than 50 years. It boasts a wealth of gaming options, including slots, VLTs, and live table games, with some high-end dining facilities complementing it.
Adrian Strawberry, hotel operations manager at the gambling resort, said the hotel and teams were united with those affected by the unfortunate bushfire disaster. He said the dinner was a symbol of a commitment to the community that expands the hospitality of the facility to provide comfort to many people during this difficult time.
Last week, the city of Reddier also reported that the reception center at the G.H. Dow Community Center has increased to 1,000 people. Meanwhile, the hotel's outlet manager, Deborah Strawberry, said evacuees were grateful for the hotel and the special dinner. About 80% of the people who sent RVPs to dinner were present.
Mr Strawberry shared that at dinner everyone was talking to each other about themselves. She added that there were also discussions about people who were worried about their homes. But she believes there is something positive about the situation because the city has joined forces to provide accommodation to refugees, and food coupons and more to help those in need.

A few months ago, wildfires also ordered the casino resort owner, O'Chise First Nation, to evacuate. Mr Strawberry noted that people in the area were also evacuated to the hotel at the time. So the casino accommodation wanted to do something for a new wave of people just to smile. **[무료슬롯사이트](https://bsc.news/post/2024-safety-slotsite-rankings-free-online-slot-site-recommendations-top15

Meanwhile, in mid-August, Red Deer Resort & Casino began work to build a new state-of-the-art event center. But this requires the removal of the iconic Long Rider Salon and Bellini Sonic Lounge, which previously attracted spectators working for both clubs. In addition, the resort's existing event center will be replaced by the Downtown Jackpot Casino.
However, renovation of the resort was almost stopped by the city planning committee. In March 2023, the MPC voted against developing an additional 2,000-person site and building a parking lot across the street. Members of the committee voted 4-2 against the project, citing a lack of parking on the site.
