Jadon Sancho once again succeeded in escaping Manchester United. Leaving Manchester United on his second loan, he expressed satisfaction, saying, "I'm happy to be back in London, where I grew up."

Chelsea said on its official website and social media (SNS) on the 1st (Korea time), "The club is happy to announce that it has hired Sancho on loan from Manchester United." According to the club, this contract includes a mandatory transfer option next summer. In other words, Sancho is completely leaving Manchester United for the first time in three years and taking on a new challenge.

Sancho Panza joined Manchester City at the age of 14 after playing for Watford Youth. Three years later, he became a superstar after signing a contract with Dortmund. During his first four seasons with Dortmund, Sancho played 137 matches and won the German Football League Super Cup and the German Football Association (DFB) Pokal. Thanks to his outstanding performance, he moved to Manchester United in 2021, completing a spectacular return.

However, Sancho only scored 12 goals and had six assists in 83 official matches since joining the club. He only played in the first two seasons after joining the club. He lost his footing due to ill-advised relations with Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag, and played in the club's transfer to Dortmund last season.

Some predicted that the sale of Sancho would be difficult as the contract was signed until 2026. However, Chelsea seems to have opened its wallet to reinforce its offense. According to the British media BBC, Sancho will be paid 25 million pounds (44 billion won) for lease and full transfer. Some claim that the option will be applied when Chelsea ranks among the top 14 players in the league this season. It is literally like a complete transfer.

Chelsea still awaits the revival of Sancho, who is 24 years old. Since there are already many talented second-tier resources in the team, there is a possibility that they will only keep the bench completely. Sancho remembers scoring 16 goals and 20 assists in 38 official games in the 2020-21 season, just before joining Manchester United. In the 2023-24 season, when he left on loan, he scored three goals and three assists in 24 official games.

"London is where I grew up, and I'm happy to be back. Coach Enzo Maresca told me about the project, and I'm very excited as a player," Sancho said through the club. "I hope he scores goals and assists at Stamford Bridge."

"I expected it to be hectic as it was the last day of the transfer market, but I'm glad it's finally over. Chelsea is an iconic club. My childhood idols were Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard, and now I have the opportunity to play for the same club as them. I'm really happy."ํ† ํ† ์‚ฌ์ดํŠธ ์ˆœ์œ„

Attention is also focusing on his chemistry with Chelsea players. "Cole Palmer and Tosin Adarabayo are the two players I met when they were at Manchester City. I am sure they will cheer for me. I want to bring excitement to the stadium," Sancho said.

Chelsea had one win and one loss in the league since the opening of the EPL in 2024-25. They lost to Manchester City 0-2 in the opening match, but won the match against Wolverhampton 6-2. Chelsea will play Crystal Palace in the third round at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.
