The center of speed volleyball

The Korean women's volleyball team won its second title at the 2024 Volleyball Nations League VNL. The team ended its 30th consecutive win and came in last place. The secret was "Speed Volleyball" by Fernando Morales. This reporter met Kim Da-in 25 who led the national team in speed volleyball as a key setter, and heard about Hyundai E&C, who will transform into a new team.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction's Hillstate Women's Professional Volleyball Team visited Muan for summer training from the 9th to the 13th.

Hyundai E&C is the combined winner of the 2023-2024 V-League. It beat Heungkuk Life Insurance by one point to rank No. 1 in the regular league and even win the championship game.

Setter Kim Da-in was at the center of the victory. From the mom of the Apogit spiker to the middle blockers Yang Hyo-jin and Lee Da-hyun, and outside heaters Jung Ji-yoon and Wi-Fi, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. took full advantage of the strengths of the main players with strong attack power.

Kim Da-in was elected as the team's main setter after winning the combined championship. He was appointed as the team's main setter for the newly launched Morales. Morales adapted speed volleyball to the Korean national team. The team's strategy was to use low and fast toss to beat the opponent team's blocker.

Speed volleyball is a style that is already in the spotlight around the world. Short-term countries such as Thailand and Japan have made good performances by utilizing the performance. However, the Korean women's volleyball team used to display high pitching capabilities. The team was one of the lowest-altitude countries, but it did not change easily. Morales made bold attempts to change.

"If Morales increases the speed of the toss, he will have space," Kim said. "He said that if we handle the ball with that space, the opponent will not be prepared," Kim said, looking back on the time when he introduced speed volleyball.

"It was crazy at first. Still, the coach told me not to lose confidence because we will hit the ball well in a month. I trusted him and kept trying. I tried to hit the strikers as much as I could, so I asked them to hit even if they gave me bad balls. I thought trust is the most important thing, so I talked a lot and matched it," he added.

Was it because of Kim Da-in's hard work? The women's volleyball team quickly adapted to speed volleyball. Without professional apogee spikers, the team beat blockers with fast toss and spike, and thus secured two wins. Even if the toss is short, the team widened its offense by attempting a pipe a back-up player who cannot attack inside the attack line makes a spike attack even if the toss is near the attack line.

Amid all his efforts, Jung ranked 19th 129 points in the best scorers category at the VNL competition. Middle blocker Lee Da-hyun's offense has also improved significantly. Coincidentally, Kim Da-in, outside heater Jung Ji-yoon, and middle blocker Lee Da-hyun all belong to Hyundai E&C. Kim Da-in announced that he will play speed volleyball at Hyundai E&C during the 2024-25 season.

"Due to fast volleyball, strikers will feel comfortable compared to last year," Kim Da-in said. "Jung Ji-yoon said, "Now, I can't hit a high toss," adding, "Hyundai Engineering & Construction believes that if we play fast with wing and middle blocker, the opposing teams will have no choice but to give 'one block' unconditionally."

He is not just sticking to speed volleyball. He is considering ways to combine speed volleyball with MOMA, who likes high tossing, by giving the ball to his taste. 바카라사이트

"I don't think Moma can elevate the ball to the height of the speed volleyball that we play. Moma prefers high balls. We have to keep that part alive. I think it's worth trying to see if we can speed up a little bit," Kim said with a smile.

Kim Da-in, expressing expectations on Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which will transform into speed volleyball, said, "I tasted the championship for the first time in a long time last year. I want to continue to taste it. My goal is to continue to be at the top of the rankings."
