**Thank you for registering to the OHBM hackathon 2020!** We are very excited to meet you next week (June 16-18) at the first virtual OHBM Brainhack.

 **Consider becoming a hackathon buddy**
You have already attended a brainhack, are keen in welcoming new members in the Brainhack community? [Sign up as a Brainhack buddy](https://pad.inria.fr/p/np_AQtc9u7wqncYHNGU_brainhack)! You will be paired with an attendee who is coming to their first hackathon. You will spend 1-hour a day with them during the event to help their onboarding.  **Would you like to meet with hackathon buddy?**
This will be your first brain hackathon? You are keen in exchanging with an established member of the Brainhack community? During the OHBM Brainhack, attendees will gather into sub-groups and collaboratively work on projects of their choice. All kinds of projects facilitating collaboration, openness, and reproducibility within the open neuroscience community are very welcome.

**Join the Brainhack mattermost text discussion space**
Text communications during the OHBM Brainhack will happen on Brainhack mattermost (an open source equivalent of Slack). Please sign up to [here](https://mattermost.brainhack.org/brainhack/channels/hbm-hackathon) and you join the [hbm-hackathon channel](https://mattermost.brainhack.org/brainhack/channels/hbm-hackathon) where we will be sharing information regularly.
If you are not familiar with mattermost, you can check out the [user-guide](https://docs.mattermost.com/guides/user.html) and that [short video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq4yEM5z5SY&list=PL-jqvaPsjQpMqnRgFEw_3fuGQbcVDTpaM&index=5) describing how it works.

**Start preparing for the TrainTrack**
To get the most out of the workshops of the traintrack we recommend you install some softwares in advance. As a member of the helpdesk you will monitor the helpdesk channel and answer any questions related to your expertise.
