  • Hello all, The project submission for the OHBM 2020 Brainhack will close this Saturday (today) at midnight anywhere on Earth. Many interesting projects have already been submitted. All kinds of projects facilitating collaboration, openness, and reproducibility within the open neuroscience community are welcome.   • Welcome! Before we get started, we would like for you to create your “virtual conference tag” and start meeting your fellow attendees! Please follow the steps: Join the hbm-hackathon channel and say hi! If you are not familiar with mattermost, we recommend this short video. Update your mattermost profile: in the top left hand corner next to your photo click to the 3 horizontal lines and then "Account Settings". Please include: a picture of your choice in "Profile Picture", your first name, last name and pronoun (she/her he/his they/theirs or any combinations) in "Full Name". your affiliation in "Position". Update your Crowdcast/Zoom profile with a picture of your choice, your name, affiliation and pronoun

During the OHBM Brainhack, attendees will gather into sub-groups and collaboratively work on projects of their choice. As an attendee, you have the opportunity to submit a project. All kinds of projects facilitating collaboration, openness, and reproducibility within the open neuroscience community are very welcome.

  • Dear project lead, Thank you for submitting a project to the 2020 OHBM Brainhack! Here is some info to get ready for your project. Project pitch: On day 1, you will present your project for a maximum of 3-5 min (0-3 slides). We are excited to hear about your project, please get ready for your pitch. Setup: Please come to the first coffee on Day 1 so that we can take some time to introduce you to our platform and test your setup. Engage with other project leads: Say hi to your fellow project leaders in the project-leads private channel. We will also use this channel to communicate with you. To create a safer environement for all our attendees, please keep the link to your video room private at all times, this is very important to reduce the risk of videobombing. Video channel: For your video calls, you are very welcome to use the solution that works best for you and your team members. Please keep in mind that some solutions will have geographical restrictions.

  • The OHBM Brainhack 2020 will gather researchers throughout the world for an online hackathon June 16-18, organized around 3 hubs: 'Asia and Pacific', 'Africa, Middle East and Europe' and the 'Americas'. Project monitors play an essential role in guiding project leads to comply with Brainhack project guidelines and set minimal documentation to make their project more welcoming to new members. Description A monitor is a member of the open science neuroimaging community who: is familiar with online tools for collaborative projects: including Brainhack mattermost and jitsi. feels comfortable welcoming project leads and sharing information on how to use these tools as needed

  • First make sure that you sign up to the brainhack mattermost (the open-source messsenging system equivalent to Slack) and that you join the hbm-hackathon channel where we will be sharing information regularly. If you are not familiar with mattermost, make sure you check out the user-guide and that short video describing how it works.
