Seeing that there aren't many Gnars athletes that are skiers yet, us three would like to join as athletes to help introduce Gnars to the skiing community. My name is Dakota Connole and for the past nine years home base has been in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout my time in Utah I have transitioned from competing in high level slope style competitions to filming for one of the best street skiing crews called 'Child Labor.' I am currently starting my fifth season of filming street skiing with them. Last year I competed in a railjam in Ukraine, and was a Level 1 Superunkown finalist last year. I am sponsored by 686 technical apparel, Vishnu skis, and Vortech corp. In terms of what is to come I will continue to push my mental and physical limits as an athlete to progress the sport and to meet my own personal goals. For this season I plan to continue filming for another street video, to attend team film shoots with 686 and other sponsors, and hopefully make some Nounish content for the Gnars Dao! When I was younger I was a competitive skier, but have found my real passion through a more creative approach. I got my first camera in high school, and since then, I have used being behind the lense as a tool to share my creativity with the world filming friends. Capturing a moment behind the lense is special because it lasts forever. I have also skied in multiple private park shoots with Ski The East and, Killington Mountain. I stopped competing early on to pursue making ski videos. my senior and following year of high school, I started filming for C sessions, a web seried made for Carinthia parks at Mountsnow, and did private park shoots with Ski the East. I then moved to Salt Lake city in 2019, and have continued my passion for making videos, focusing most of time on street skiing. I am sponsored by Line Skis, Vortech Corp, Smoke Proper, and R3 pants. I also have recently worked with some other major companies like Evo, Woodward, 805 beer, Level 1, and I've been featured in Freeskier magazine. Along with the videos I am excited to make for the Gnars DAO this season, I am also filming multiple street projects and filming for the Line Traveling Circus, the longest running ski webseries online. We are proposing 3 eth for each of us to be sponsored riders for the Gnars Dao. In return we will create * 4, 5-7 minute long edits to be posted on gnars youtube channel throughout the winter season (Jan-april) * each edit will have around 20-30 clips we will send to be utilized on all other Gnars and Nouns social media pages (120+ clips of footage) * Always speak highly of the gnars Dao and teach more of the ski and snowboarding communities what its all about * tag gnars dao in social media posts * Talk with different companies and event organizers to get gnars involved with different types of events in the skiing world,(video shoots, railjams, movie premeires...) When we post these edits, we will ask our other sponsors to help promote the videos to get more exposure over to the Youtube. Posting these videos on Gnars can lead to more people finding the Dao.
