## Space search

We have some leads but we are still looking for a suitable space, suggestions welcomed.

We already visited it twice and got estimation for renovating it between 1-3m czk. 1m as initial investment to make it at least usable, more later to make it proper.
The main problem of this place is insulation and humidity. The floor and walls are not insulated, it will be cold and humid which could be expensive to maintain.

As we currently cannot afford it anyway, we are open to suggestions - check action points for some tips. The space should have some reasonable size (around 150m2) and have big enough room for events with smaller private rooms. Basements are preferred but it's up to discussion.

Rentings vs owning is one part of this discussion. If we are going to invest a lot of money to renovation, it would be better to own it but we are open to rentable places if suitable.

## Mission and vision

We had some more high level discussion on philosophy of the place and arrived at couple of points:

- Space for freedom seeking people but not building political barriers
- Crypto friendly, but not crypto first
- Inclusivity vs exclusivity, everyone is invited but only if they can handle it

## Funding

Still looking for funding from aligned investors + public. The goal is to find co-owners who are just not random rich people but actually want to participate and have skin in the game.

The rest of funds could be raised by [crowdloaning](https://cryptpad.cz/pad/#/2/pad/view/5QiOH45n+FnkAf+n2S0DlqdoFJVPRJ0IkLcWO181Cw4/). We already created a dapp, Eth backend and web frontend where anyone can lend us stables. Or donate if they prefer.

The potential legal framework has multiple options, we discussed it with Blockchain Legal and are ready to execute on whatever community/investors prefer.

- Centrala, Holesovice might be interested in collaborating (Mario, Lubos will talk to them)
- "Prager Cubes" / CAMP building on Karlovo Namesti (Tree will check it)

- Everyone interested in participating is welcomed. We don't want to make big public calls but individuals should invite the right kind of friends to join us at this stage

## Brmlab tour

- admin
- 45 paying members, 10 members active daily
- problem with people do not paying the membership fee regularly -> solved by automatic notifications (/public shaming)
- People only pay couple of months and then return in a year expecting to have just a 'pause' in their membership. We have the same experiencce
- They used to rent place in Vltavska, had to move out and renovated new space using their savings
- Now seeking to buy the next place to actually own it
- The space is really cool, recommended to visit and consider membership!
- Mostly electronics hacking, cool biology stuff as well. Less on the art side. The roof is awesome!
