The Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) was established by the Institute of Accountancy Arusha Act of 1990 as a non-profit educational institution. The Governing Council oversees and controls the Institute on a global scale. The institute has developed 37 academic programmes, including the Basic Technician Certificate, Ordinary Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, and Master's Degree. The Institute of Accountancy in Arusha (IAA) has five new job openings in 2023.
The Institute also offers short-term courses and seminars, many of which are tailored to the needs of the clientele. In addition, it engages in consulting and research as part of its mission. Through these interventions, the IAA hopes to establish long-lasting partnerships with Industry, Government, and Non-Governmental Organizations. To be a model centre for modern business management training, research, and consulting services.
