We are seeking an engineering leader/mentor that will direct the day-to-day design and development of Bolt's products. In addition, the Director sets expectations and provides on-going feedback to ensure that all team members understand their roles, responsibilities and the overall goals of the project(s) that are actively being developed. Bolt is seeking candidates with a technical background and prior management experience in software design and development, where 40% of time will be spent managing the software development process, 40% mentoring and leading architecture and design activities and 20% with direct hands-on coding in Rust. The Director will schedule and delegate tasks for the development team and serve as a direct point of contact, both internally and externally.
