## Crypto How-to Guide: Cryptocurrency Exchange Account Identity Verification
**How to ensure your personal information is safe during the account verification process?**

Due to the growing interest in the crypto world, verifying your identity has become standard practice on most cryptocurrency trading sites these days to prevent activities such as money laundering. * Select Limits and Fees
* Tap Get Full Access
### What happens next?
If your submission is clear and consistent, the automated verification may take 5 minutes to 2 hours.

If there are any issues and a manual review is needed, it may take approximately 5 business days. This time frame may vary slightly if there is a significant increase in the number of submissions requiring manual reviews.

### Account Verification - Update for Existing Users

We have changed our identity verification requirements on Crypto.com Exchange for security reasons.

Starting December 31, 2020 00:00:00 UTC, all Exchange users must present a valid ID and photo in order to have full access to our Exchange services.
