# New Crypto Payroll

We're releasing a new way to crypto payroll this paycycle. So make sure that you go to your Opolis dashboard to pay for your payroll. Please don't use the old "relay wallet" any longer.

## How the new system works

The new system is meant to be simpler, more reliable, and more secure. To accomplish these goals, we will now require all crypto payments to happen within our application.

To pay for your crypto payroll invoice, you'll log into your account at commons.opolis.co. On your dashboard you'll see crypto invoices, their due dates and amounts, and an orange "pay" button next to them. When you click the "pay" button you'll be taken to our crypto payroll app where you can attach your MetaMask, select the token for payment, and then click "pay." That's it!

We'll still send email reminders to go pay your crypto invoice, if you haven't already. But email reminders will no longer include the relay wallet where you could previously send funds. This new system requires you to pay through the commons.opolis.co app.

## What about L2s and Other Tokens?

We plan on keeping the crypto payroll system mainnet-only, at least for the rest of March. We'll launch a Polygon and GnosisChain option either for the first or second pay cycle of April. This will let our members pay for their payroll on either of these side chains. If you have another side chain that you'd like us to support, please see if it meets the requirements below and reach out to us. We want to meet our members where they are.

We also plan on expanding the number of tokens we can support. The first such token we'll add to our system is RAI. It's much easier for us to work with stable tokens than tokens with flucating values that might drop before we're able to liquidate them to USD for paying your health benefits and taxes.

In the future we do intend to support project tokens with deep liquidity.

Please just remember, if you're a crypto payroll payer, pay through commons.opolis.co. The relay wallet system is a thing of the past and this new system provides our members with the secure, reliable crypto payroll system we think they deserve.

## Side Chain Requirements
If you have another side chain you want us to support, here are the requirements:

* EVM compatible
* TheGraph supports it
* At least five members or 25,000 of paycycle volume for that chain
* Has USDC, USDT, DAI or some other reliable stable coin on that chain
