# Bicycle-ize Carrboro :::info **Current Status**: Rough Concept ::: What if we could take an approach like "Solarize" did for solar panels and make it easier and cheaper for a bunch more people to start cycling or do it more often? If we can properly understand the communities unmet [Needs](https://hackmd.io/ZUyCqx9IQzazfkBzBgCSDg), and we research/build [Solutions](https://hackmd.io/PQGpVLqtRXuJ3PCVCKhIHw) then we can pull together a broad set of [Collaborators](https://hackmd.io/4Z4NW282RmWDRqK-Fzwfrw) with a viable [Approach](https://hackmd.io/nezaqFIGRWWe1wsbu5vZSA) to make this all happen! Why now? Climate Change concerns and goals are certainly there and this work could really help with that. The pandemic is now also busy shaking up existing transportation models and we are already in a bit of a cycling renaissance. Financial times are hard and getting harder for the vast majority of individuals.
