The game has relatively low engineering requirements but offers profound depth, attracting a large number of loyal players. We believe this simulation strategy game is well-suited for the characteristics of low interaction frequency in blockchain, and its time-tested and proven gameplay can attract a significant player base. Our team has strong development capabilities. We previously developed a fully on-chain PVP roguelike game in just two months, covering player movements, chest opening, PVP battles, and more, all deployed on the blockchain. The game already has hundreds of test players(Try now: https://0xmssp.xyz) Our game will also have logic and data on the blockchain, making it inherently permissionless for use and development. We will organize hackathon events to encourage third-party developers to create plugins/mods to enrich the game(we have done similar things by integrating NFTs incl. Loot/Realms into our previous game), and even create derivative versions of the game rules based on the contracts. As the game logic is entirely on-chain, third-party developers can develop plugins without permission, significantly enriching the game. How is this project going to satisfy the goals of the mission request you are applying for? Our game is simple and easy to play, aiming to attract a significant amount of user interaction. We will establish an initial prize pool of 10k u, with a focus on alliance and battle designs, expecting interactions from 10k addresses. Additionally, we will apply "asset composability" to the game, allowing users to stake assets on OP or cross-chain stake assets from other chains for mining in-game items.This will be a win-win for both our game and OP. Please include how you arrived at this estimate We've conducted four consecutive weeks of game playtesting, with a total of 10 sessions every Monday and Friday. Each session consists of two rounds (occasionally with additional rounds), with 20 players in each round. Therefore, we have had a minimum of 800 participants in our playtesting sessions. Currently, there are over 500 active individuals present in various communities. 4. How will receiving a grant will maximize the number of users interacting with your applications? Please include a step-by-step flow of how you imagine this grant can lead to a more significant number of user interactions with Optimism Our team has previously developed a fully on-chain PVP roguelike game (try now: https://0xmssp.xyz/). However, through trial gameplay, we discovered that roguelike games require users to perform high-frequency movement operations, which do not translate well on a blockchain with time delays and certain gas fees. Based on the experience gained from the previous game, we are now preparing to develop a new game. This game will be a revamped version of a classic SLG (Strategy and Simulation Game), emphasizing low interaction frequency and prioritizing strategic battles. We already have a game design document, pseudo-code for the main logic, and some UI concept images. The next steps involve utilizing the grant for completing the development of this game. Additionally, a portion of the grant will be allocated for promotional activities to increase user interactions within the OP ecosystem. Players can enjoy the entire game for free, experiencing its full journey, while also having the option to accelerate construction and production by making in-game purchases for certain bonuses. We will fine-tune parameters through testing to achieve a balanced game economy. Version 3: Splitting and Synthesis of Loot Items. We will incorporate Loot NFTs, breaking down the original Loot into various components that serve as in-game item enhancements. This empowerment aims to breathe new life into the original Loot NFTs, attracting Loot holders to participate as players in the game. 4.2 We will utilize OP tokens as initial game rewards to incentivize user participation and encourage them to compete for leaderboard rankings. The process of playing the game involves frequent interactions with OP mainnet, creating a high-frequency engagement(~10 tx per day per user). At the same time, if users want to gain in-game bonuses, they need to purchase and stake NFT within the game, thereby increasing OP's Total Value Locked (TVL). After playing the game, all user interactions will be recorded on OP, including NFT forging, battles, etc. These become valuable data assets left by users in the OP ecosystem. In the future, other games can leverage this historical data to tailor marketing strategies for specific users.
