# Radio Radio buttons allow users to select an option from a set. ## Usage Guidelines Radio buttons can be used when: - Requiring a single option from a list (shorter than 4 elements) - Options are mutually exclusive [Order] Whenever possible, order the radio buttons vertically for better readability [Label placement] For LTR languages, the label should be on the right and the radio icon on the left to avoid misaligned icons ### Writing Guidelines - Radio buttons should not end in punctuation - They should be introduced with a colon or a heading ## Specs ### States [Inactive] State when the radio button has not been selected yet [Active] State when radio is selected [Disabled inactive] Radios can be disabled (instead of hidden) [Disabled active] Radios can be selected by default and unable to be changed
