# Mayflower Moderation Handbook **The purpose of this document is twofold: first, to establish clear boundaries for the State of Mayflower Moderation system, and second, to address common questions and issues that have been identified by Moderators.** # Moderation Protocol The following section will outline the recommended course of actions that a Moderator should take in specific situations. ***Game violation:*** 1. Confirm that a player has violated a rule by reviewing their gameplay. 1. Capture evidence of the violation. 1. Impose appropriate punishment depending on the severity of the rule broken. ***Discord violation:*** 1. Collect evidence of the violation. 1. Warn or ban the player based on the severity of the rule violated. 1. Capture evidence of the violation. ***While providing evidence is not mandatory for all types of rule violations except for aimbotting, we strongly recommend doing so in case of an appeal. In the case of aimbotting, evidence must be provided and posted in the #mod-evidence channel of the Discord server.*** ***It is important to note that the Central Authority retains the right to revoke your moderation privileges at any given time and for any reason.*** # Guidelines for Personnel **Code of conduct** The Mayflower moderation team must always avoid exhibiting any form of negative behavior such as disrespect, aggression, or unprofessionalism. It is important to note that the moderators are equally bound by the rules and regulations already in place. Regardless of the circumstances, a Moderator is expected to maintain a respectful demeanor towards all members, even if they are being disrespectful towards the Moderator(s). We have established and uphold high standards when addressing Moderation matters. **Code of Ethics** Moderators must maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with moderation issues. It is strictly prohibited to take screenshots, recordings, copy-paste, or duplicate any moderation-related information and share it elsewhere. Such actions are a severe violation of privacy and are not tolerated. Furthermore, all moderators are expected to handle their role and the working environment with the utmost care. Your position is not guaranteed to be retained if you fail to show proper respect and diligence in your duties. **Policy on Retirement** Upon departing from the Mayflower community, it is mandatory to maintain confidentiality and respect for all community and staff-related matters. It is strictly forbidden to duplicate or replicate any moderation assets or policies. Additionally, discussing your time at Arway is prohibited. If your reason for leaving is due to an issue that you believe is unacceptable, please inform the Central Authority or Head of Moderation. # Discord Server Moderation It is important to note that DMs ***are not moderated*** unless there are instances of Discord TOS violations or advertising taking place. * **Please refer to to this page for warnings / infringements** # Warnings * Minor Disrespect * Posting irregular links * Discussion of administative action taken on someone’s account. * Failure to stop when asked by a Moderator # Mutes * Pinging Moderators or Central Authority for no reason. * Annoying voice changers / sounds. * Failure to abide by warnings. # Kicks * Minor NSFW material or comments * Multiple infractions for the same reason. * Minor discriminatory actions / comments * Major disrespect * DM advertising # Bans * Extremely discriminatory comments / Posts * TOS Violations * Spamming / flooding channels with material. * Server Raiding * Major NSFW Material * memes / comments relating to known terrorist groups * Major harassment. All moderators are granted access to Dyno, which can be accessed through the / command, opening a command bar console. Duped weapons every moderator is given access to CMDR, this is accessible using the `\` command which opens a command bar console.
