# Persona W4514 Designer Feedback
### What information did you find useful?
#### Sex, Age, & Location
- Sex, Age, and Location are all useful pieces of information to determine user demographic (this will also be a useful way to filter target demographics for designers)
#### Device & Access
- Type of Device: this is really useful for learning which platforms you design for (+responsive design... e.g is it worth having Web & Mobile?) POTENTIAL Q - Web or Mobile preference?
- Learning about the users current state of tech comfort - are we designing for first timers or experienced users, or both?
- How often are they using the app? This gives a good idea for metric benchmarks for testing
- It also provides context as to how much focus needs to go into one set of user experiences/flows (e.g quick transfer, login, etc)
#### Familiarity & Preference
- I liked hearing about his favourite and least favourite forms of payment. This gives me a good idea of where to start my research
- I will then usually download the app, try it for myself, and determine features of positive familiar experience (language, iconography, architecture)
- What flows are most important and should receive greater focus in the design + development process
- Looking to determine "essential/can't live without" features vs "Nice to haves"
- "Familiarity and consistency is quite powerful in design."
- What features do they like most, and why? What creates this feeling of safety and positive emotion within the app (my challenge as a designer is, how can I replicate this/improve it)
#### Security & Comfort
- Particularly with crypto, security and comfort is a huge aspect of design. Being able to create a duediligent user flow that doesn't comprimise security
- It was interesting to hear his perspective/anxiety around how secure his money is (e.g not storing in your bed!)
#### Pain Points
- These are REALLY important for designers. Knowing which flows to avoid, or how to make them smoother/better for the user
- Pain points are golden nuggets for how to beat your competitors applications ("What can I do to make them prefer our application?")
#### Motivations
- These will allow you to know why a user might use your application/payment system
- If you're not solving problems or providing a service users *want*, you won't be heading in the right direction
- Designers want to relate to their users, to imagine being in their shoes and to think "What do I want as a user who thinks like this?" (Very easy to just use your own point of view and miss things you wouldn't think of - e.g choosing the correct Sign Up/Log In process)
### What was missing?
#### App Specific Questions
- It is tricky to know what questions are applicable to which application, but I would have loved to know a little more about which features of the application he currently uses he likes in particular. Is there a feeling that he associates with them?
- Learning a little more about one or two specific pain points within their payment process/software (particularly applicable to online/apps)
#### Familiarity Test
- If there was a way of being able to gather my user psychology on the theme of familiarity, this would be great
- What language should I use? What types of icons should I use?
#### Q's on Security
- Security is an essential component of payment systems (especially bitcoin)
- How do you store a password?
- Do you usually follow step-by-step set up guides?
- How likely are you to read a user manual before starting something?
- What is your level of "digital hygeine"?
- Do you use offline storage for files, passwords, etc?
- Do you use a 2FA Authenticator? If so, which one? (e.g Google, Authy)
- What level of trust do you give to payment systems?
- Do you trust your current method? (e.g Western Union, Cash, etc)
- What features makes you feel like you can/cannot trust an application with handling your money
- Do you mind having to trust a third-party - or would you prefer to take the risk into your own hands for increased privacy/security?
- Do you want to feel like your being taken care of, or that you can take care of yourself without someone watching?
#### Access & Usability
- What is their prefered log-in method? (Google, Facbook, Email, SMS, Username + Password)
- Do they have access to internet 24/7?
- Do they therefore require *offline features*
### Further Notes/Meditations
#### Continued Feedback
- Thank you for introducing me to this user, the interview was so helpful. However, there are one or two questions I'd love to ask them specifically about {insert topic}, can I contact them via you?
- How could this continued conversation potentially benefit the user? Could they get tipped for extra questions specific to a designer?
- I think this would be a no-brainer for designers!
