As a general guiding principle, OpenSats is prioritizing projects that are very specific and targeted, closely related to FOSS infrastructure for Bitcoin and Nostr. Open-ended applications are unlikely to be funded. Even so, this is a highly competitive grant program and our board of directors must make very difficult decisions to decline some projects even if they are worthy of support. ## Zcash Foundation ZF Frost Wallet Integration (1/23/24): https://zcashgrants.org/gallery/25215916-53ea-4041-a3b2-6d00c487917d/45285935/ [Declined] > The committee gave their opinions on this proposal. Amber said that although she finds this research and development fun and interesting, its stage of development is too far away to have user impact. Brian and Gguy agreed and felt there would need to be more interest from the community before funding this project. Mike said that because FROST provides open-sourced code, ZF/ZCG is sometimes being too nice by agreeing to fund wallet projects just to implement FROST, but ultimately agreed with the committee. > Although ZCG voted to reject this proposal, they would like to encourage the applicant to become more involved in the community.
