# MetaMask Tutorial

Step 1: (Google Chrome Users)

Go to https://metamask.io and click "GET CHROME EXTENSION"


Step 2:

Click "ADD TO CHROME".


Step 3:

Confirm the dialog box by clicking "ADD EXTENSION".


Step 4:

Click "GET STARTED".


Step 5:

Click "CREATE A WALLET" (New Users)


Step 6:

Choose whether or not you would like MetaMask to be able to collect anonymous information to help them improve their user experience.


Step 7:

Create the password that you be using to log in to your MetaMask extension. Make sure you write it down somewhere safe.


Step 8:

Reveal and write down your Secret Backup Phrase.
(AKA Seed Words)

These keys can not be retreived or restored by ANYONE so make sure to write them down somewhere and keep them VERY SAFE. Make 2-3 copies of these seed words if possible and store them somewhere only you will find.


Step 9:

Confirm the Seed Words in order


#### That's it! You've successfully installed and set up a MetaMask account!


Now you will be taken to your web wallet which you can either use, or close, and use the extension instead.


You can find the MetaMask extension in the top right side of your Chrome Browser window.


When you click it, you will see your fresh new account. "ACCOUNT 1" just like on the web wallet.


Now, let's make another account. Start by clicking the colored circle on the top right side of your extension.


Once you've clicked that, a drop-down menu will appear with a few options. We're focusing on the first one. "CREATE ACCOUNT". Click that.


Now choose a name for your new MetaMask account. We named this one MetaMask Tutorial.


There you have it, now you have 2 Ethereum addresses that you can send/receive Ethereum or any number of the tokens available on the network from/to.


To switch accounts and use Account 1 simply click on the colored circle again and click "ACCOUNT 1".


Congrats! You're now a verified MetaMask user!
