**Summary** This is a project to share our journeys through the trails at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Share your hiking stories, photos, environmental observations, and insights about different trails you’ve encountered to complete this quest. Think of it as an open invitation for all hikers to become active contributors in creating a digital hiking trail map, promoting awareness about responsible outdoor recreation, and fostering a stronger bond within the hiking community. As we brave new paths and conquer new heights together, we can all play a role in preserving the beauty of nature for future generations to enjoy. I hope you'll join us in this thrilling expedition, and finally, make sure to always follow the [park rules](https://ocparks.com/parks-trails/laguna-coast-wilderness-park/park-rules)! **About Laguna Coast Wilderness Park** Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is a natural haven situated in Southern California's coastal canyons, offering visitors 40 miles of trails through oak and sycamore woodlands, ridges with scenic views, and towering rocky bluffs. The park showcases a diverse range of habitats, including Coastal Sage Scrub, Native Valley Grassland, and Maritime Chaparral, as well as riparian areas with Willow, Oak, and Sycamore trees. It is part of the Natural Community Conservation Planning program, aimed at preserving rare and endangered species like the California Gnatcatcher and Orange-Throated Whiptail, along with benefiting other wildlife such as Mule Deer, Long-tailed Weasel, Bobcat, and Red-tailed Hawk. The park is part of the larger South Coast Wilderness area, which encompasses several other protected areas and totals nearly 20,000 acres.
