## Article I. - General Provision
<details><summary>§ 1.01. Methods of citation.</summary>
(a) This Chapter shall be known as the Criminal Code. The provisions hereunder may be cited as Sections of the General Statutes. Thus, Article 10 of the Criminal Code may cited as Gen Stat 5 § 10.

(a) In this Code, the following terms shall the designated meanings;

<details><summary>§ 1.03. Felonies and misdeameanours; defined.</summary>
(a) A felony is an offence which;
 (1) is denominated as a felony by statute;
 (2) is punishable by imprisonment.
(b) Any other offence is a misdemeanour.

<details><summary>§ 1.04. Infraction; defined.</summary>
(a) An infraction is a violation of the law which;
 (1) is denominated as an infraction by statute;
 (2) is noncriminal in nature;
 (3) is not punishable by imprisonment.
</details>
<details><summary>§ 1.05. Accessory before fact punishable as principal felon.</summary>
A person who aids in the commission of a felony during or before the fact, whether directly or indirectly counsel or procure another to commit the offence, or both, shall be considered a principal and punished as such, notnwithstanding the principal felon may not have been amenable to justice.
</details>
<details><summary>§ 1.06. Accessory after the fact.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they;
 (1) harbors, conceals or aids the principal after the commission of a felony;
 (2) knowing or having reasonable ground to believe that the principal felon have committed the offence;
 (3) with the intent that they shall avoid apprehension, prosecution or punishment.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the third degree and punishable by 20 minutes' imprisonment.

## Article II. - Offences Against the Person
### Section 1. Criminal Homicide
<details><summary>§ 2.01. Definitions.</summary>
(a) In this section:
 (1) "Malice Aforethought" means the conscious intent to cause death or serious bodily harm to another person before a person commits the offence.
 (2) "Recklessness" means the unjustified disregard of risk by engaging in an act clearly dangerous to human life.
 (3) "Sudden Passion" means passion caused by and arising out of provocation by the individual killed at the time of the offence.

<details><summary>§ 2.02. Murder in first degree.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they;
 (1) causes the death upon an individual with malice aforethought; or
 (2) causes the death upon an individual by recklessness in the commission, or attempt, or immediate flight from the commission or attempt, of a felony, other than manslaughter; or
 (3) causes of a death upon a peace officer discharging their lawful duty, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe is a peace officer; or
 (4) causes of death with intent upon more than one individual.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the first degree and punishable by 35 minutes' imprisonment.

<details><summary>§ 2.03. Murder in second degree.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they;
 (1) causes the death upon an individual with intent; or
 (2) causes the death upon an individual by recklessness in commission of an offence.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the second degree and punishable by 30 minutes' imprisonment.

<details><summary>§ 2.04. Manslaughter.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they;
 (1) causes the death upon an individual by recklessness; or
 (2) commits an offence under § 2.03 but with sudden passion.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the third degree and punishable by 25 minutes' imprisonment.

<details><summary>§ 2.05. Attempted homicide.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they attempts to cause death of an individual.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the third degree and punishable by 20 minutes' imprisonment.

### Section 2. Assault, Battery and Related Offences
<details><summary>§ 2.06. Definitions.</summary>
(a) In this section:
 (1) "Assault" means causing reasonable fear to be harmed upon another, notwithstanding whether injuries or physical contact has occurred.
 (2) "Battery" means causing harm by use of force or violence upon another.
</details>
<details><summary>§ 2.07. Simple assault.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they commits assault.
(b) An offence under this section is a class C misdeameanour and punishable by 5 minutes' imprisonment or a fine of X dollars.
</details>
<details><summary>§ 2.08. Aggravated assault.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they commits assault with a weapon.
(b) An offence under this section is a class B misdeameanour and punishable by 10 minutes' imprisonment or a fine of X dollars.
</details>
<details><summary>§ 2.08.1 Aggravated assault upon a peace officer.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they commits assault upon a peace officer discharging their lawful duty, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe is a peace officer.
(b) An offence under this section is a class A misdeameanour and punishable by 15 minutes' imprisonment or a fine of X dollars.

<details><summary>§ 2.08.2 Aggravated assault with a firearm.</summary>
(a) A person commits an offence if they commits assault with a firearm.
(b) An offence under this section is a felony in the third degree and punishable by 20 minutes' imprisonment.

(a) A person commits an offence if they commits battery with consent of the victim.
(b) An offence under this section is a class B misdeameanour and punishable by 10 minutes' imprisonment or a fine of X dollars.

(a) A person commits an offence if they commits battery with a weapon.
(b) An offence under this section is a class A misdeameanour and punishable by 15 minutes' imprisonment or a fine of X dollars.

(a) A person commits an offence if they commits battery upon a peace officer discharging their lawful duty, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe is a peace officer.
