# Mastodon 2024-05-13 Last Week In Docs: 🎙️ On Talking & Doc'ing: we reviewed two new in-progress Starlight PRs: one exploring the function of the table of content's scroll bar, and the other that adds Astro's i18n API `Astro.currentLocale` helper. We learned everyone's personal browser scroll bar preferences, as we looked at how Starlight's table of contents (when long enough) should scroll independently from the main page. Do you hide all your sidebars whenever possible (like Hideoo?), install a browser extension to give you always visible big, bold, gold sidebars for accessibility (like Sarah?), or just leave browser defaults? We also tested a deploy preview of Starlight with a banner that should always display the page's language using `currentLocale`. And, we decided that maybe Astro Docs sidebar doesn't need nested sections at all! (Sorry, Chris!) We all jumped into a shared Gitpod space and let people try out different versions of what our new sidebar could look like. There's a draft pull request where you can check our current progress! Team Docs/DX also: ... worked on a project to share and organize the Astro Docs community-submitted recipes with https://astro-tips.dev who are planning a better way to showcase community content than we can currently accommodate in docs.
