What are the conditions for the issuance of a long-term visa for remote work?
A long-term visa for remote workers can be issued if:
* The applicant is from a country outside the EU/EEA/EFTA
* The applicant does not need a visa to travel to Iceland.
* The applicant has not been issued a long-term visa in the last 12 months by Icelandic authorities.
* The purpose of stay is to work remotely from Iceland.
* The applicant does not intend to reside in Iceland for the long term.
* The applicant can show that his monthly income is equivalent to ISK 1.000.000 or ISK 1.300.000, if also applying for an accompanying spouse or cohabiting partner.

Eligibility
Applicants must prove they can work remotely, using telecoms. Applicants must also be third country nationals.
In addition, applicants must prove they fall under any one of the following 3 categories:
* work for an employer registered in a foreign country and have a contract of work;
* conduct business activities for a company registered in a foreign country and of which applicant is partner/shareholder; or
* offer freelance or consulting services, mostly to clients whose permanent establishments are in a foreign country, and with whom the applicant has contracts.
Moreover, an applicant must reach a gross monthly income threshold of EUR 2,700. Additional eligible family members will have thresholds as stipulated by Agency Policy.
## Norway

* You must be self-employed with a contract to work on a project for a business in Norway.
* You must have relevant qualifications to work in your profession.
* Proof of accommodation in Norway
* Show an income of at least €35,719 per year before tax

* Gather the required documents listed on Norway’s Directorate of Immigration website.
* Fill out the application, and bring it to the nearest Norwegian Embassy.
* Pay the visa application fee of about €600
