# 2023-09 Support Squad Meeting Summary

This is an summary of topics disccused at the 6th September, 2023 Support Squad meeting.

## Support Docs

- Continue work on finishing up and polishing support docs
- Make the [Support Squad Guide](https://hackmd.io/4aKcKRBVSAmEdnsA-AJS8g) accessible for people who want to help with support
- Add to https://docs.astro.build/en/contribute/
- Add to https://github.com/withastro/.github/blob/main/SUPPORT.md?
- Add to https://github.com/withastro/astro/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md?
- Make [How to Ask a Question](https://hackmd.io/w9Sdod7HQTWYaZsaAcW44g) doc accessible for people with questions
- Create a `/ask` command to easily ask people to provide more information
- Add to https://docs.astro.build/en/guides/troubleshooting/
- Pin a message in `#support`
- Possibly create a tiny [post template](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/8008843803671-Post-Templates-for-Forums) for posts in `#support`
- Support docs could live somewhere on Github so everything doesnt end up in docs

## Tags

- Tag report is currently posted in `#support-squad` weekly, but it could also be added to a Notion doc for a historical record/view of past reports
- Create a Notion for Support Squad data
- Need a tag for View Transitions
- Combine UI Frameworks tags to make space for more tags
- Figure out tag name later
- `other` tag has to stay because tags are required and not all topics have a tag

## Houston bot & Kapa AI

- Talked about possibly tweaking the redirection message on unaswered post in `#support` to link to relevant docs using AI
- Create feedback for Kapa AI about what metrics are useful -> [needs for support ai](https://hackmd.io/d9rRIFcGQ9KF5DI4ciVsrA?view)
- There is some overlap between what Houston Bot and Kapa AI are doing, it is better to create feedback about what we want Kapa AI to do rather than trying to implement something custom on our own

## Actionables

**Core**:
- Create a sub Notion for support data like tag insights
- Get usage stats for UI Frameworks (to help when deciding on a tag name combining all UI frameworks)

**Support**:
- Remind people the `/docs` command exists
- Create feedback for Kapa AI about what is and what is not working
- Continue working on support docs
- Surface docs when polished/complete
