# 2023-11 Support Squad Meeting Agenda This is an overview/agenda for the upcoming 8th November, 2023 Support Squad meeting. ## Updates - Welcome Eva (`@for.eva.new`) to `@support-patrol`! :tada: ## Support Role Audit - 800 people with the `@support-squad` role! - Sarah recently did a [survey of `@team-docs`](https://discord.com/channels/830184174198718474/916064458814681218/1168260329776627772) to find out why people selected the role, and what good ways of engaging them might be. Do we want to do the same for `@support-squad`, and if so, what do we want to ask? Some ideas to start the conversation: - re: `@team-docs` survey. Why did you select the role? - :book: I am knowledgable about parts of Astro, and would like to help others - :question: I participate in the `#support` forum, asking/answering support questions - :green_heart: I like the colour green - Ask about ways people would like to get involved with `@support-squad`. e.g. - Get notified about Support meetings ## Support Patrol votes * currently negative votes do not count, if that's ok or of we manage to find a simple yet inclusive voting system * example suggestion : both + and - count and we need at least 4 votes not 3 as we're growing, with min 51%, which means +3 NOK, +4 OK, +2 -2 NOk, +3 -1 OK, +3 -2 OK, +3 -3 NOK, +4 -3 OK,... which is very easy to reach and very low barrier given that we could ping voters groups to speed up votes. * Rationale : The - consideration is only a safeguard and a minimal guarantee that this process is mindful for the Astro community guide.
