  • TAGS!!!!!!Is there still a need for Upgrade to v5? Is there a replacement tag we want (Upgrading Astro? something else?). For context, it has been used 8 times in April. (Will carry these over to June) - We're going to be releasing three (?) new experimental features in June - how does this affect tags? Is an "experimental" tag helpful, or is it more helpful based on what the feature is? "Office Hours / The Support Doctor is in"Is this something people are interested in doing?

  • Updates Support Squid: A few support patrol members have launched a public forum using flarum, and I believe have plans to add additional data sources (https://get.supportsquid.ink/) Discussions Listing support patrol members: We don't currently publicly list support patrol. There's a few places we can (support docs, community site), and would be a way to publicly recognise volunteers. Rethinking @support-patrol mentions: The current state of things looks like this:Currently, anyone can mention @support-patrol, with the intent to be when a question has gone unanswered or has reached a tricky point, after some time. This is maybe not communicated in the best way, and can lead to people using it shortly after posting. People asking for support can feel disheartened when the first responses to their request derail their question.

  • Astro 5 releases! We have a temporary upgrade to v5 tag for posts in support. If something seems of interest to docs/platform, make sure to let us know! Actions: Someone proposed adding an actions tag after noticing how many posts use that feature. Is that something we'd fine helpful? Revise support squad "governance"/nomination procedure to what we use internally, move to github repo. old doc Set automatically scheduled event location to #chat voice channel

  • Tags, I guess? Are we getting anything out of the current stats reporting. What kind of stats would we use? Hacktoberfest: do we want to try to mobilize/take advantage? / Recruiting? Channel name New business? Airing of grievances? Anything marked as solved may be closed by a support patrol member Is the bot wrong? Let's start a thread and everyone post when they USE or DRAW A CONCLUSION from a tag stat! Is their timeframe right? Should it be more then a week? Actually work on ASS (ping list - triage guide).

  • How can you contribute? Answering questions #support (note: mention #support-ai?)provding a reference from Astro docs is highly recommended (see knowledge base) providing a working example that solves their problem Instead of writing code and fixing a problem for one person, think of adding an example to an exsiting set or start your own, that can speed up the next case with the same issue. Answering questions on StackOverflow or Reddit (note: expand to give brief instructions & links to SO guides) sorting github withastro/astro issues, contributing with comments, tests, reproductions, or even fixes. transfer in both directions, real issues from Discord to github and issues that are more of troubleshouting step by step discussion can also go from github to Discord.

  • 3rd Party Support (Stackoverflow, Reddit, Twitter) Reddit: Has there been any response after eaching out to the owner of r/astrojs? Response: confirming they are okay with adding us as mods to the sub so... lets do that? That's definitely my preference. Moderating a subreddit well is a ton of work over a long period of time, and I don't think we win anything meaningful by trying to do this all ourselves vs. partnering and supporting someone in our community who is already enjoying the work. Tags @mandar1jn has employed necromancy to manually run the old stats image

  • Updates Welcome to the @support-patrol @adaliszk! Sarah's stats dump should Sarah keep doing this?? It does take a chunk of time, so how are we using this (if at all) and if so, which actual stats have been helpful Remember: it's natural to "want to know things" and that's fine! But if we're not acting on them, then they're not really doing anything for us. 3rd Party Support (Stackoverflow, Reddit, Twitter) Fred has reached out to r/astrojs owner. Waiting for response

Did a quick reminder that any questions related to Astro Studio and not @astrojs/db can be redirected to the #studio channel Looked over the stats for Kapa AI and Algolia searches in docs

  • It was decided that from now on, @support-patrol nominations should be made in threads to keep the discussion private and organised. Any more kappa.ai feedback? Throw it in the document! It might be possible to schedule a meeting with people from kappa.ai where we can provide our feedback, but maybe also to ask for advice on how to use it to its fullest extent. We're still happy with the new emoji for the deployment tag - no other tag changes/discussion. Discussed the posibility for a support squad website, decided against it because of the amount of effort it would require. Action items

  • Note: This meeting will take place on the 8th of February. New members Welcome to @Sphere, @Atharva, @Trex (Voxel) and @Fryuni (Luiz Ferraz). Nomination process Should we move nominations to threads? Keeps discussed topics private, but also keeps things more organised. We recently had 4 nominations around the same time and it was kind of chaotic Kappa AI Sarah is still happy to receive feedback in this document: https://hackmd.io/6YWkMCQ_QbWppUL_1_LECg

  • Kappa AI Feedback Please have all your :hot_pepper: takes ready! What do you like about it? Dislike about it? Hate about it? Wish that it did that it currently doesn't? Wish it would stop doing? Go wild and think about how it would work in an ideal world, even if it doesn't work that way right now! This is a safe space for honest feedback! (Just remember, this is a publicly discoverable document. So please be respectful and constructive.) wassfilait would be cool if Kapa does not limit users to 3 questions, but proceed by selecting some relevant entries from the chat history to add it to the context it would be so great, if Kapa could additionally to answering referring from docs, provide a lists of posts where very similar topic was discussed, I do not ask to use them to generate answers, that would not be useful, only list them, this would enhance interactions between the community and not leave every question independent

  • Support Squad Survey In recent support squad meetings, a survey for everyone with the support-squad role has been constantly postponed. Before we continue discussing it Sarah asked a great question: what do we wanna do with this information? [ ] Created a thread in the #support-squad channel Tags We are extremely happy with the getting-started tag and have seen no issues with the merge into the react/preact tag. Tag icons
